I've been thinking of making a new character.

Well I've been thinking of making a new character. I have my main ( Level 73 ) And Skyrim has become empty to me.
I started this character when I first got skyrim ( Nord warrior ) Down the road I saw mages and I was like whoa that's cool so I became a nord mage.
Once I fully maxed out magic I wen't back to thieving and once that was maxed out onto warrior again. But like I said it feels empty in skyrim.

I started a new character awhile ago ( Nord warrior ( Not mage :P ) ) And I'm not satisfied with the character I feel I'm more of a mage person. as I have never gone out of the nord race. ( Other than khajit once ) And I was wondering If I should start a new pure mage character ( High Elf ).

If you were wondering I would always play my 2 Characters but the warrior status has bored me for a bit. So I wanted your suggestions :).

The beauty of TES games is that you can play any type of character you like.
If this inability to play a character comes from not connecting with a roleplayed character, then just keep trying new ones.
At least that's what I do.
I create characters until I hear one speaking to me,or I start to connect with the character.

I look forward to starting over with a new character. I'm too close to level 50 though. I once get that trophy, I'm going to start a new game.

Try not just being a mage, but choosing to specialise too. my character is a healer, having a great time. Try being a necromancer, or an illusionist, or going pure destruction and taking the perks for all three elements. Just a thought.

I like this is there a story line of newcromancer? I might be pure destruction. Yea I've been everything thief, warrior, mage but the most appealing is thief and mage.

The College don't give a damn if you are a necromancer, unlike the Arcane University.
If you like thieves and mages, you could try a silver tongued rogue. Usual thief/weapon skills, but go for loads of speechcraft and illusion. Max out the illusion, and get out of all sorts of trouble. Add in a bit of restoration, as self preservation could be paramount to that type of character, potentially nice hybrid build.

A few builds I, and many other people I'm sure, have played with Oblivion and Morrowind. They're rather interesting:

Battlemage: Heavy Armour (Light could work too, though), One-handed/Two-handed, Block, Restoration, Destruction, other combat/magicka related skills. You are a Battlemage, trained in the arts of swordcraft and magic. You throw devistating Destruction spells at your enemy, then close in with your melee weapon-of-choice and finish them.

Ranger: Light Armour, Archery, One-handed, Block, Alchemy, Sneak, another sneak/light combat skill. You are a Ranger, trained in the arts of quick-swordcraft and archery. You can brew wonderful cures; or deadly posions to help assist you in battle. You dwell in the green-city named the forest, which you call your home.

These are just two obvious and rather uncreative classes you could play. You could make many.

Roleplaying could be fun, too. Maybe your warrior has a fear of Daedra? Maybe your mage is tempted by the black arts of Necromancy? Again, tonnes of ways to play.

Another thing to remember is that you really don't need to do everything on one character - that's what the Elder Scrolls are about. Making a mage who's magickal ability is unmatched, but doesn't know which end of the sword is the bit you hit the bad guy with.

Maybe this'll help. Hopefully it will. Just use your imagination when creating a character and have fun!

Thanks! I really like the sound of the archer  I might make my new guy an archer! and the battle mage was my first guy when I got into magic but magic took me over.

What would be the best follower other than Lydia?

I, personally, don't use followers as a Ranger - they always struck me as the lone-wolves. But, as I say, your imagination is what counts.

Maybe the Dark Elf in The Drunken Huntsman in Whiterun? She's the sneaky-archer type.

I just searched for ranger followers, and the most interesting guy I found is http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=skyrom%20derkeethus&source=web&cd=2&ved=0CCkQFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Felderscrolls.wikia.com%2Fwiki%2FDerkeethus&ei=4sr1Tu2HJoiY8gOzhO3BAQ&usg=AFQjCNH-5NnpGxX1TVWz3zBMyAQBPxSYWg He's the only Argonian follower in Skyrim. If you were an Argonian too, that would be so badass. :)
