325 hours on three characters in Skyrim and I just now ran into the Headless Horseman. And he surprised the heck out of me because I diid not know he was in the game.
He is harder to meet than M'aiq the Liar.
Anyone else experience this Easter Egg?

Over 20 toons all told (12 active) - I have NO IDEA how many hours but I would estimate (low....) at 1000.... nope, never seen him.

I've seen him a few times now. I never fast travel. That's probably why.

I first saw him near his home. He was riding back home northward furiousy fast to get back before the sunrise. I saw him again way down south in Falkreath riding towards Riften. And I saw him way out west on the road along the river near Markarth.

Thing is, I DON'T fast travel on some toons. I have a "stable" of toons who just wander/explore. Never seen him on any of them either.

Nitron, I bet I run across M'aiq a dozen times in every game session. I've heard every one-liner from him already - a LOT of times. I just ignore him now....

Oh, not to mention Talsgar the Wanderer. MAN, that guy gets around!

Him I've seen a few times on both characters...even with all the Fast Traveling I do. :P

I may have to mill around there at night every now and then. "Shor's bones. A handsome ghost about Falkreath.".

I have found him twice. Once right outside of Dragonsbridge, once right outside of Morthal. Both times at night,

I ran in to him on both my toons. One near Morthal on the road to Labrynthian, and One near Markath. And I'm pretty sure I saw him on the Nord toon I gave up on around level 20ish near Rorikstead.

I've seen him a few times; twice north of Dragon's Bridge on the road near Meridia's Temple, and once on the road near Karthwasten. I have yet to follow him. I've always been in the middle of something and if I don't force myself to stick with whatever it is, I'll never get it done.

I've seen the Horseman three times, all of them on the road between Whiterun and Rorikstead.

I used to run into Talsgar so often I'd say "Gods not him again." Haven't seen him since I finished the War, though.

I was just up around Shadowgreen Cavern at night, looking for Pincushion Pete, and he came loping by so I followed him.
Luckily I was on Shadowmere as I usually leave him and set off on foot.

I rode in his vapor trail all the way from the Cavern, taking the roads kind of roundabout, and it was daylight all the way from East Empire Trading on, to Hamvir's Rest.....he lured me into the open entrance full of skeletons and vanished.

Is this maybe the benevolent wizard who got his head chopped off by the woodcutter's wife?

Theres a few ghosts around skyrim that dont really talk or do anything than lead you to a location like a grave or somthing with loot in it. Yeah teh horseman lead me to Hamvir's Rest once, but another time he was just riding around randomly.

About people not finding things like this. The best way is to just walk along roads for a bit and you get alot of random encounters and stuff happening that you dont normally get.

Yep, seen him. Ran in M'aiq at least 3 times, too.
I fast travel a fair bit almost everywhere I can. I think that may make it MORE likely you'll run into them, because their location resets randomly more often.
