so i bought proudspire manor, but i only had enough money to buy the house, no upgrades. so i just dropped all my extra loot in the barrel right next to the front door. Later i went back and upgraded my house. but when i went back to the house the barrel obviously wasnt there, so i went looking around my whole house in all the containers and all my stuff is gone, dark bro. armor, nightingale armor, etc etc. Did the game actually "steal" my stuff! is it a glitch, should i be able to get all my stuff back????

I'd probably load an earlier save if I were you, I don't think you can get those items back. But then again, if you were planning on using the shelves, or mannequins, or the display racks, chances are you were going to lose those items regardless. So its up to you if you want to bother reloading and doing some stuff over.
