My head is worth 1000g in Markath due to a museum "job" gone wrong. I was walking nearby when a bounty hunter came and asked if I wanted him to clear my name. I had to pay him 1200g and he would go to the Jarl and set things right. I thought it was a good deal because I didn't have to loose all my stolen stuff and accepted.

After a while I went to Markath and the first guard that sees me arrests me!? I checked the bounty in the stats screen and it says the bounty in The Reach is still 1000.

So is it a glitch or the damned BH fooled me and that's how it's supposed to be?

sounds just like real life scam hahaha.
dunno he just ran away verry happy with your cash, maybe hes drinking one now on your cost.

Lol! I've encountered him nearby a standing stone near Whiterun after killing a farmer and gaining a steady bounty. I lead him to a enemy Mage, let them clash, and sold his loot to pay off my bounty.

I was about to reload the game and not go to Markath, but I guess it was fair game. I'll play along and let the guard arrest me.

That BH better pray he never crosses my way again.

Haha if it sounds to good to be true, it usually is! Even in a video game.
