So, I finally got around to getting married the other day. I was doing Sanguine's quest, and since that involves talking with Ysolda, I decided to give her a mammoth tusk I picked up at Halted Stream Camp so we could get married. So I go to the Temple of Mara, and several guests traveled there from Whiterun, including Mikael, Arcadia, and Lydia.

So, Maramal is in the middle of giving his speech, pronouncing us married, and Ysolda decides to leave! Didn't give me a chance to talk about living arrangements or anything. I figured I'd just talk to her when I went back to Whiterun. I decide to do a few quests that are in the area, like the Skooma dealer. Head back to Whiterun...and no Ysolda. She's not at the market, Breezehome, the Bannered Mare, or her house! So, I decide to use the console to move to her, so I can see where she is, rather than moving her to me. She was finally just arriving at the Whiterun Stables. How slowly she must have been walking. And Mikael was already back in town. Not sure about Arcadia, and I had Lydia following me.

This happened to my two characters who married. Poor scripting, I think - the NPC should stick around until Maramal has finished talking and then initiate a conversation with you.

Gotta love the AI in this game, she knew marriage svcks!

Yep, this happened with Aela for me, I was like "Wait! the ceremony isn't finished yet!". But alas no, I had to run as soon as i could to catch up after Maramal finished his speech.

Might look into it in the CK once I'm back home.

the fix...exit the conversation with the priest after you say " i do"

then talk to your spouse about where to live.

So you married Ysolda? I did to and wish I hadent. Her face gets some very ugly artifacts on it in the Breezehome light and I've grown tired of her 3 lines: "back from some adventure", "yes my love?", "Goodbye my love", Makes me want to puke everytime I hear the last one. (she'll say that when you go upstairs!)

Some would say its rather realistic: She only slept with me ONCE and cooked for me ONCE.

I want to console command her out of my life/home and marry someone else! (possibly with better voice acting and dialog options!)
