Mage Assassin Build help.

Ok so I'm working towards a Mage Assassin build, problem is that I have to choose between either Destro or Bows.

Bow Build:http://www.ign.com/builds/the-elder-scrolls-5-skyrim?d=00000000000000000010000000001110000000000000001000020000001111100000000010131111035000111001000111111000000000000000000000000005011000021511102000511001000000000511111111

Destro Build: http://www.ign.com/builds/the-elder-scrolls-5-skyrim?d=0000000000000000001000000000111000000000000000120202000000111110000000001013111103500011100100011111100000000000000000000000000501100002100000000051111100000000051111111100000000000000000001111

Thoughts?

Could go for this, little bit of both.

The idea is to fall on Alteration for Armor, which brings up the question as to whether I should spec so high into Smithing? I'd like to use Nord Hero/Daedric weapons. =/

Dual wield, either 2 swords or two daggers or a combination.

Use Destro/Archery for LR/MR combat.

Sneak. Alot.

Also, are those perks in speech well used? I mean is it possible to still make(Decent) money without using the Riverwood Trader exploit? I could overhaul those points and place them into Destro/Archery.

Perkwise in the Archery Tree, is Steady Hand worth the two perks?

Well, one thing, if you're going to be using Alteration you need to NOT use armor for you to get any good armor rating. That said, you couldn't use DB armor or anything similar. I'd strongly discourage you from using Alteration, especially since you're planning on using Smithing anyway. In addition, I'd not use archery either. You're going to be working light armor, sneak, one handed, destruction, and illusion. Adding anymore skills to that is going to spread your character awfully thin, and you will cease to be effective.

I played through using Alteration before without armor on a Mage Knight like class, no sneak, with bows, with minor conjuration and it actually went very well. The fact that you could still equip a shield and still get the x4 bonus + the lord stone made maintaining the armor cap fairly easy. This also made the game both more fun and challenging, now I'd just like to attempt a more sneak oriented mage. The reason I decided to go the Alteration Mage Armour route was because I found most of the ingame armors ugly, and their perk trees not worth speccing into.

Smithing I am skeptical on, at least past Arcane Blacksmith. Though I would truly enjoy using those Nord Hero and Daedric weapons, and from what I understand they can be quite rare and hard to find without enchantments (Daedric Weapons).

I have no intentions of speccing into ANY armor tress other than Alteration. If I did so choose to wear armor, it's still relatively easy to hit the Armor cap, or get close to it without having any points in it at all. =-/

I really have no respect toward people who get Smith/Enchanting/Alchemy combo.

It's really not for the reasons you're thinking. Alchemy = Poisons + Destro Pots = Insane damage with Destruction magic.

Enchanting = Self-Enchanted weapons and armor tailored to my particular tastes.

Blacksmithing = (Cut back heavily on these skill points, kept up to Arcane Blacksmithing) I wanted earlier access to Daedric/Nord Hero gear. But now I can upgrade my weapons and still preform decent damage with them.

Just because someone decides to spec into all three doesn't mean they're going to use them to that end. I did on my first playthrough, and got bored with it.

I -MIGHT- use the restoration bug to an extent and see about getting one piece of clothing to have a -50-75% reduction in mana costs for Destro and Alteration, just because the last time I played in-combat Mana Regen left me always needing more even with a mana pool of 550+

Personally, I wouldn't bother with speech perks. You can run up your speech ability without trying very hard, if you sell stuff one piece at a time. It does get tedious, though. If you're diligent about checking all chests/urns/etc., and even if you only sell pretty high price-per-weight items and abandon the rest, it doesn't take long to get pretty rich. Just my opinion, though...YMMV.
