Skyrim Addiction Roleplaying Guide

I made this for myself, but I figured it would be some uses to any of you. Not sure if this is the right place to put it, but I guess it classifies as something that belongs here.

Skyrim Addiction RP Guide

1. Set a “Need”
-What is your character addicted to, how much does he/she need, how often is it needed?
Example: Adventurer needs 2 bottles of mead once a day.

2. Need the “Need”
2a. The Vice Comes First
-This means that rule number 1 is always followed before anything else.
Example: Adventurer has limited money, spends money on 2 bottles before anything else.
2b. It’s always obtainable
-You always get your fix by any means: theft, selling things you own, even murder
Example: Adventurer sells his armor for enough money to buy 2 bottles of mead

3. “To chase what destroys you”
3a. Effects of use
-Set effects (positive and negative) for when you follow the rule you set (be it by enchantments, potions, behavior, or in IRL)
Example: Adventurer obtains and drinks 2 bottles of mead (equips amulet that increases damage, turns down controller sensitivity [slower reaction])
3b. Effects of withdrawal
-same as above, but when you fail to follow the rule
Example: Adventurer does not drink 2 bottles of mead (turns up difficulty, adjusts brightness higher, attacks animals and annoying NPC’s more often)

4. No Control
4a. Supply
-When you can obtain more, do so
Example: Adventurer has surplus of coin, buys more mead than he needs.
4b. And Demand
-When you have a surplus, you always use more than you need
Example: Adventurer has 4 bottles of mead, he uses all of it but still needs 2 bottles the next day

5. Total Crash
-Occasionally, it’s a good idea game play wise to have the character loss everything in the struggle
Example: Adventure losses everything after “blackout” (player simulates this by unequipping everything into random container, “wakes up” at a place of the player’s choice.

And there you have it, if you have anything to add please comment below

Well, it's certainly an unusual--not to say "eccentric"--RPing style. :foodndrink:
I might just try it if I ever become bored with exploration.

Maybe my current guard RP will turn into a bit of an alcoholic or skooma fiend! I like the guidelines you set though
