Your today's epic Skyrim experience

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 3:24 am

Just have to share this one that was also one of my favorite all-time experiences in Skyrim. This happened about a hour ago:

I was running downhill from Solitude towards a cave that I was supposed to clear of bandits. I decided to take a shortcut through the forest and a lake. When I was bypassing the lake, suddenly the dragon fight music started to play, and there was an elder dragon flying over me in the night sky. I though that I don't need this right now and started to sprint through the woods while the dragon chased me in the sky, often trying to hit me with his frost breath. After running for a good while I was nearing my destination and saw an enormous waterfall just ahead. I took a risk and jumped down the waterfall to lose the dragon. I landed to the water below unharmed, went into hiding behind a rock and after a minute the dragon flew away and the music returned to normal.

What epic have you experienced lately in Skyrim? :tes:

That's fantastic :) Glad to see a positive instead of Troll's picking on things like kid models... :stare:

That is what most people LOVE about this game, situations like this that are so immersive :) I had a pretty cool experience with a Dragon the other day, here my companion and I were running across the tundra when we noticed a dragon in the distance circling and attacking something that we couldn't quite see yet. As we ran closer I saw that it was attacking 2 giants and a mammoth and they were doing pretty well for themselves too! I cocked my bow fired 1 single arrow at the dragon from LONG range and Boom he crashed down to earth and died! I ran up and absorbed its soul after only firing one arrow :) I was so pleased for myself then as I turned and headed up towards the mountains far west that familiar dragon music started again... a Elder Dragon had arrived and I was almost out of arrows as well :(

Its almost as though Bethesda were mocking me :(

mine is game related, but in a more physical sense. i was handed a gift bag for christmas, and it was pretty dang heavy. lo and behold i take it out and its the Official Skyrim guide. 655 pages of awesomeness!!!!! im pretty close to the end of the main story, but i think im gunna do some side stuff first. i dont want it to be over. if i beat the game, i wont have the urge to go back and do things, but ill start a new charecter. but the guide rocks!

Trying to catch up with a caravan guard whose amulet I had retrieved & supposed to return to. He doesn't have a fixed place but accompanies a caravan as it moves from city to city. Taking the time to explore an area of Skyriming I've not been to before.

Attacking a bandit only to be attacked by a saber cat only to be attacked by a blood dragon.

The other day i was on my way to Riften on my low level Dead is Dead character.. as i got sidetracked a bit from picking alchemy ingredients i heard and felt the ground shake.. a dragon landed right behind me!, so i ran to live and fight another day.. a bit further ahead and lost in the forest with no road in sight i encountered 3 wolves with the dragon still right behind me. Turned another direction, and encountered a Novice Necromancer... I Ran for my life to say the least.. but i eventually made it to Ivarstead and got away from that situation unharmed! =) those are the situations i play dead is dead for.. if i wouldnt i would probably stay and fight to see if it was possible to get out of that alive with weapons in full swing.

My epic adventure was unfortunately postponed for another day due to me not playing Skyrim at the moment.

Killed a bunny, loaded its corpse with a half ton of loot from a raid and raised it using a staff of zombies. Found out that undead bunnies can't go inside cities with walls, so I brought it to Dawnstar killed it again and looted its corpse. Then I sold the loot.

(civil war spoilers)

I was doing the last civil war quest invading windhelm and while general tulius was giving his speech before we invaded a Dragon loomed above him and unleashed his icy breath after his speech everyone ran into the city. In the city there were solders fighting and then the dragon was flying from rooftop to rooftop unleashing his ice cold breath on the solders then he landed and ripped apart many solders with his teeth. I knew I couldn't let any more die to this dragon I had ran up with my two swords and started atacking it With all my fury finally killing it and the going on to kill hundreds of soldiers

I usually kill any dragon that get in my path because I'm the mighty Dragonborn! Also partially because I wanted their yummy souls and I never really have to fight them, I just summon punch of stuff and call my own dragon to deal with them...

I got into a five way brawl outside of Riften. It was me and my companion versus 3 Cave Bears versus Bandits versus a Blood Dragon versus Riften Guards.

I went to go kill a dragon at its lair and it was very powerful so I ran away and as i ran down the mountain I ran by another dragon along the way so i ran into a giant's camp hoping it would help kill the dragons and 3 giants started fighting the dragons and they killed one but decided to go after me afterwards. It was a veeeeerrrryy long battle.

actually fought an elder dragon today too. my mage became level 23-the first level elder dragons appear-and about 5 minutes later in the middle of fighting a camp of bandits one swoops down and begins firebombing-the battle took about 20 minutes trying to kill the last of the bandits while not getting in the line of the fire breath that took about 2 seconds to immolate me-so my conjuration skill reached 100 during the battle, i got the last perk, it landed with 3/4 health, and i tried to hide behind pillars and kept conjuring dremora lords-never been so immersed in a game before

I was travelling around, discovering new places when I found a Shout ability Wall in the middle of a moutain top. I went closer to gain the ability until I noticed there was a dragon nested upon it, though it was to late. It had already spotted me and had taken flight, not only that but a boss monster appeared from a coffin and started shooting fire balls at me. I was alone and knew I couldnt take both, plus I hadnt saved in awhile and didnt want to die. So I ran down hill so the dragon would follow me and I could attack them one at a time. Then I noticed a giants location not to far. So I ran towards the location, managing to make it unharmed. My plan worked, he was more preocupied with the giants than me. I am a melee based combat user, so I wanted for him to land, and would rush in and start swinging. It wasnt before long that he was defeated, so I strolled in, got the loot, was ready to head back up the mountain to defeat the crypt dweller where I was gonna save at a safe distance. But a giant killed me.
