Hello all, I am New to these forums but I have played the elder scroll's since Morrowind I admit I did so after Oblivion and did not play Morrowind for very long.
This comment is partly role:
When coming to Skyrim I naturally chose to follow the persons that did not try to give me a radical new haircut regardless of the higher quality of imperial Armor (the rather impulsive and sloppy execution attempt alerted me to the changing fashions, in the past I killed half a dozen people while doing some late night "chores" for my dear old mother and got away with it with a few days in prison, not too bad since I was there anyway so I might as well enjoy a free bed).
After hearing much gossip and reading all manner of writings I could find (surprised and annoyed at seeing a few too many familiar books, it's been 200 years!!! Get new chaps! I do not care how fancy the new editions are!)
I had to take a few breaths and drink all the ale in the tavern, what happened to my dear Empire? To the empire we have bled to defend, to the empire Martin sacrificed himself for?
I was enraged and decided after a few dragons and trolls (the latter are significantly stronger, what in Oblivion?) to follow up on my new Stormcloke friend's request and join the rebellion.
Here's a little poem to describe the war, just made it up so it's probably not very good.
A long hard war was ahead of me, I had to forsake my empire of old, I had to betray my newly found lord, I have been forced to use the faith of a weak old man and to injure and kill my brother man.
So I stood at the gates of solitude at that final battle, the last day of the sword, in service of king Ulfric my rightful lord.
Clashes of steel, fire and death, for Skyrim I shouted with all my breath until finally at a slash of my blade the enemy's death was finally made! - end
So that’s about it, I figured that I did well for the day but I discovered after a few days the monster I helped create.
Many of my friends (people who fix my weapons and by my merchandise) where going bankrupt because of racism, the situation of the refuges was getting worse and there where still dragons to deal with witch no one seemed to care about not to mention many other matters!
Some information I found lead me to believe in the possibility that Ulfric and the Thalmor had at one time worked together to orchestrate the rebellion in order to weaken the empire.
So my call changed, with the Empire again in my heart I shall once again follow the way of Talos even if for now the Thalmor darken his light with imperial steel they shall eventually fall but for that the Blacksmith needs Skyrim for the tip of the blade.
I just wondered if others felt the same.
