will NPCs put on the execution hood?

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 4:07 am

During the Dark Brotherhood quest in the abandoned shack I looted the execution hood from my victim.

i'm curious if an NPC, namely any shopkeeper, would put it on if reversed pick pocketed into their inventory?

i plan to test it later tonight when i get home, but i'm wondering if any thieves out there have tried it with any success? would be kind of funny to see the shop keep with it on while looting all their goods then taking it back when done.

I haven't. In fact, I've wondered if I could see if I put it on. I suspect we can since we can see with a Falmer helmet on.

If you don't want to lose it make sure you replicate it first. :P

They'll put it on. At least followers will. Does it make them blind? I don't think so. The bucket trick works because it's an object. The hood is apparel.

I might be wrong in saying this, but I was always under the assumption that reverse-pickpocketing armor onto an NPC doesn't equip the item to the NPC...which means that non-followers wouldn't equip it at all <.< But again, I might be totally wrong.

Ugh, that's giving me flashbacks to people who did this in Guild Wars. My Monk, Vow Of Celibacy, wouldn't condone such behavior.

I married a cute girl for the wife (Sygja), but the hood might be good for some of those battle axe girls you can wed. ;-)

Correctly, the hood is no different than helmets who replaces the head.
The bucket work as it blocks the view of the npc just as an wall will.

You beat me to it. My first character I "accidentally" married Uthgerd the Unbroken. Later in my game I found that hood....
It was the best wedding gift I could give her.

Did she change the "Unbroken" part of her name after the honeymoon?
