Am I just not attractive enough?

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 5:29 am

I met up with Mjoll the Lioness the other day. Agreed with her about the Thieve's Guild, got her grimsever, we've been travelling for days together now. We are cool. What do I have to do to marry this person? I wear my Amulet of Mara rather than my Amulet of Arkay now because I'm hoping I'll get a random dialogue thingy where she says she likes me. What am I doing wrong here?? The only people who are interested in me are men. Yeah, not happening.

Have you talked with the priest in Temple of Mara in Riften about the marriage?

Yup. It's treated like a quest. Also people will usually only be interested in you if you do something for them.

Yep I thought it was strange you had to do a quest to get married.

Next thing you know they'll be having quests just so you can eat.

Quest Added: "For I Have Tasted the Fruit"

1. Pick up a fruit.
2. Eat fruit.
3. Quest complete. +100 EXP

why would you wanna marry her she never shuts up when travelling, always making comments about her adventuring days and taking to many risks

Taking too many risks...

Sounds like Lydia.

She's hot, one of the better followers, has the best house of any marriageable character, and she's hot.

Or a quest to sleep.

You must go out each night and find your night cap that has been stolen by a skeever.
You must track down the skeever kill it.
Rinse and repeat each night, forever.
What a joke.

She is a good follower, however I admit she is a talkative one. Not that annoying just random comments when I'm sneaking do get unnerving.

I always found it strange that followers comment at full voice volume when you're sneaking. Are there any followers that whisper, because Lydia sure doesn't. Neither does J'Zargo.

Wives are often annoying/unnerving anyway, so I'd say Bethesda nailed the realism here.

Sounds like that make a nice realism mod. Either Mute those follower comments when sneaking, or reduce the volume so it sounds like they were whispering.

There's a huge problem though; Aerin lives/moves in with her. They are inseperable.

You can kill Aerin, and as long as Mjoll doesn't see you she won't care. Or you could just lure him to his death and keep your hands clean.

I really don't care all that much about how she looks.. but her voice, it's so cute and sixy.

Neither does J'Zargo.

In fairness, he has a sneak score of like 25 (Minimum for a khajiit), has heavy armour proficiency and specialises in destruction; basiclly a battemage - I don't think he's meant to do "subtle" ;p

I stopped traveling with her because she wouldn't shut up. How many times do I need to hear about that thief nearly crapping himself when she drew Grimsever? Worse, she would always insist on one of these anecdotes whenever I was trying to listen to something another NPC was trying to say.

Currently I'm running with Annekke. She is a much more tranquil follower. She's already married, though.

you cant get the marriage prompt with a follower, you ave to tell her to get lost then go talk to her.

as for Aerin, i tried everything in my power to get rid of hhim but nothing worked, eventually while mjoll was at home and i was traveling out in te hjaalmarch he just appeared out of nowhere and started like running around, so i shot him dead in the swamp and left his body for the crocodiles, or whatever they have there.
