So I have had so many characters I have lost count, but across every playtrough I have had the same problem with all of the companions, the bows. No matter what I do I can not get them to equip a bow; they always equip a hunting bow. I have would love to be able to have my companions use the new crossbows or any of other good weapons. It is an issue that I have experienced and have not heard of any fix. If someone knows of a fix please post it, and if there is no fix, then it probably should be fixed.
