What is the mystical bow?

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 1:38 am

I wonder which bow is the bow you can see on very common loadscreen image where female elf in leather armor has the bow stretched with a steel arrow. I haven't seen anything like it in the game in these 156 hours.

You are right. I googled it and found a picture which fits for the loadscreen image. But I have to ask what it actually is? I have traveled trough the Skyrim with three character all of them between lvl 30-50 and no one of them have found anything like it yet. I suppose it's a reward of some daedric quest I haven't done yet?

*SPOILER*

The nightingale bow is a gift from Karliah from the thieves guild quest line.

*SPOILER*

Karliah is part of the nightingales and gives you the bow before you go and return the skeleton key in the pilgrims path quest.

Yes it is. It's like the last quest. But the bow isn't even that great. The stats are kinda terrible. But its a nice collectors item.

It's physical damage matches a glass bow, with 20 points frost and 10 points shock damage I'd say its pretty damned good. Especially if your toon isn't using enchanting as their crafting skill.

Lol, get a daedric bow. Much better. I hate enchanted weapons because you have to recharge them. Its such a chore.

Well they don't exactly grow on tree's!! And I'm only lvl38 so I won't be seeing one as loot anytime soon. I'm not the type to dagger my way to Deadric gear.

So for now soul gems are more than easy to come by.

Get some soul gems enchant a dagger to absorb souls for you if you do not wish to cast a spell and there you go.

No prob, I guess I just misinterpreted the lol at the end.

I didn't think you could purchase deadric gear at all, regardless of level. If I could I'd certainly have the coin! 94k right now, I'm going for the achievement and I'm a thief so its a pretty steady flow of gold lol.

That's odd, because its physical damage directly matches my glass bow, not elven. And it does 10points shock damage on top of the frost.

Hell yeah, thanks dude you too. I saw them at the Summer slaughter tour this year.

Yeah they're both at 87 damage. But it serves me well for now, being able to wear the Ancient shrouded cowl AND the shrouded cowl together certainly helps keep it a viable weapon at lvl38.

It depends what level you are when you get it. I have the NightenGale Bow and I was like 23-24 when I got it and ya...it only does about 28 damage. I am currently using an Orcish that I upgraded to Exsqusite and it does 49dmg. Although now since I have Arcane Smithing I could probably make my NightenGale Bow do more.
