Away with the flesh spells!

They're weak take too much mana and have too short durations.
They should be replaced with a spell that you cast on yourself, and it absorbs certain amounts of damage before it breaks. IT Lasts for a day or so.
You'd notice that a lot more and it wouldn't be so UP.
On a side note, the existing magic ward spells should cost less mana and instead of taking a few seconds to charge up, they should be at full power immediately and then wane quickly.

for a mage i found these spells useless. the ward spells drain mana extremely fast leaving you defenseless and unable to use combat magic. the flesh spells give me negligible protection. as a clothes wearing mage i found it more effective to run around then use these mana sink holes.

ward spells: i would lower the cost big time.

flesh spells: the non-armor perk is nice, but i would have added that to the spell itself. i would change the perk to increase the base protection.

the main problem is i could just slap on heavy armor and have no need for either of these spells. removing magic penalties for armor type was a big mistake. maybe i'm too traditional, but it feels completely wrong and awkward to cast spells in steel plate armor.

i've tried multiple times to play a mage, but magic just doesn't do it for me in skyrim. good ideas, poor implementation.
