Volkihar Dlc?

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 2:08 pm

I saw alot of people complaining on the vampires.Didn't read much, things like that they should have better apperance, problems with their powers, problems with the player being a vampire and those BLAH BLAH BLAH.Im realling geting sick of thousands of threads like this in just one day.Like, 1 guy post something about "Skyrim should include evil bananas that eat people."and then everybody post the same thread. That just impressive...forget anyway.
Now let's get back.Things like the Volkihar,a powerfull race of vampires that, according to TES:LOre,myths lives in frozen lakes. We know that Volkiharn are present on skyrim. But just don't as the Lore says. Also they apperance was more monstruous/elvish/demonicly..Since some people are complaining that a "Thalmor Dlc" would be just too big to an Dlc,why don't do a "The Volkihar Lair" Dlc? With the options like:
-Join them and get their powers.
-Kill all of them
-Or other side options.
Also it would be a good chance to fix those "problems".Right?

Yeah. As long as it makes them like the Volkihar and gives the Cyrodiilic vampire some justice. I would prefer a Thalmor DLC with Cyrodiilic vampires pulling the strings of the Thalmor from within. Give them a taste of their own medicine. What, a man can dream can he?

Why couldn't this have been posted in the one thread about vampires where you suggested it in the first place?

But I would like a vampire DLC. Werewolves got one and they were brought back. Vampires were gimped and I think it's about time they got some love.

It's definately possible. After all, they did have a concept art of Lamae Beolfag/Bal, but she doesn't appear to be in game yet. She's definately DLC worthy. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4lrm97dBqNo/TUFlxQiW7CI/AAAAAAAAAZM/n_xn6TWnSA8/s1600/artofskyrim_013_femmonster.jpg

Joining the Volkihar faction could give you a constant active effect "perk" that increases the power of Frost Breath/Ice Form shouts and Frost based spells. There could also be a Vampire Hunter faction, called the "Order of the Virtuous Blood" (Yep, the same one from Oblivion, just with balls). Would be a nice surprise too to see a certain Vampiric Count from Oblivion make a appearance.

So that thing/i/her is actually the leader of the Volkihar,.Also why did they made a concept art of her anyway? This may be the clue to the first Dlc.
Edit:i think that she/it must be a tremenduous powerfull vampire. If that Dlc is true,i hope the battle with her don't dissapoint me.

I've already encountered some Volkihar ingame and I wouldn't mind seeing that group as a faction in future DLC, although Jim Cummings needs to voice the leader.

Yeah they are a very tought enimie.Anyway i searched about her and i discovered that she is the first son of "Molag Bal".Literraly a creature like Alduin/akatosh,but with a mortal form and soul. This is getting intersting..She have like what? +1000 years, she probaly can pull fire from the sky.

I'm more interested in how the modders will overhaul vampirism. They'll no doubt do a much better job.

I think that, more old a vampire is, more powerfull he is.Also we must see this in LORE point of view. The Molag Bal son's are the true "vampires".We can compare them to "Dracula",while the lesser vampires can be compared to the "Day walkers" vampires.

The older a vampire is,the more powerfull he is/gets more powerfull.Like the 4 stages on TES:universe. The longer you are a vampire without feed ,your powers increase(but let's not forget the disvantages),but it seems that vampires with 200+ years can deal high damage with magic.
Spoiler
I observed this while doing the child ghost quest at Morthal.I died alot of times by him.

I don't think you'd ever see a vampire DLC as its such a niche market.
