My newest Skyrim character is a non-destruction battlemage, he uses robes.
I have three questions:
Should I waste 3 perks on mage armor or just use the dragonhide?
( is the animation THAT sluggish, what will you get from ebonyflesh + 3 tiers of mage armor)
Which is better, fortify x - magick school or fortify x - magick school + fortify magicka regen?
( I use 3 schools)
How can I level-up restoration fast?
(the exploit-sh and fair way ( I want two examples )

Dragonhide only lasts ~30 seconds and the animation takes too long. In my pure mage playthrough I ended up becoming a Vampire to take advantage of the Restoration perk, Necromage. With the Necromage perk and using alchemy/enchanting loop (w/ 5 items circlet and falmer helmet exploit) I was able to get dragon hide to last close to 1 minute, but still... animation takes way too long. You are better off using the 3 perks and use ebonyflesh (last ~3 mintues as Necromage Vamp and dual cast). You can get your armor up to high 400s, if you've also got the Lord's Stone.


Which is better, fortify x - magick school or fortify x - magick school + fortify magicka regen?
Too me, magicka regen isn't really great during combat, since it still recharges pretty slow and doesn't recharge when you have a spell queued up.


How can I level-up restoration fast?
You should get the Equilibrium spell from inside Labyrinthian (I wouldn't really consider that to be an exploit)

I just loaded up my character and ebonyflesh is 4 minutes with dual cast and armor rating was 437, with Lord's Stone.

Dragonhide is ridiculously outrageous. It's complete and utter stupid. I did more dying using this than using the ebonyflesh spell.

I would've liked it if their was a dragonflesh spell instead of this dragonhide.
