Beware. I ran through almost all of Forelhost, got to the Hall of stories and the puzzle door and the door doesn't open with the right combination. So I tried re-loading the cell several times and no luck. Am I SOL on this for this play through?

Try leaving the area(just through the closest door) and that should work.

Are you on the PC? If so, can you tcl past the door?

Did you find that when you clicked on the centre, the claw never appeared? I've had that in Yngol (sp?). I had to leave, FT elsewhere, FT back, and re-enter.

No, the claw appears and turns the lock. Im playing on the 360. Like i've said before I've reloaded the cell several times.

Have that same problem.

If you have Whirlwind Shout and you just want the Word Wall you may be able to get to it from outside (the wall is outside on an enclosed balcony/terrace area). From the wall there is a door into the room where the Dragon Priest and mask are (the room that the Glass Claw opens into), but I cannot remember if the door is barred on the inside or not.

Can you clip through those gates using the platter trick?

I tried something that might work, I am not sure.
If you have the right combination lined up and you leave and enter again through the nearest door, nothing would happen when you use the claw. nothing happened for me.

Hhave you tried swithing to 3 other symbols, then leave through the nearest door and reenter, then line up the right combination and use the claw.

It worked for me
