Have I done everything?

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 1:51 pm

so i have played skyrim almost everyday since it came out, im level 60 i have dragon armour and completed the main storyline including the stormcloak\imperial story and done all the quests i can find, except misc quests cos they seem all the same and my misc quests don't work and are bugged, explored everywhere, their are many places i haven't discovered all i keep finding is caves and small castle structures with bandits and such, and i feel like i have done everything except discover caves and stuff of little consequence, i have a way to go before i have leveled everything up but i am kinda bored, just going around filling up soul gems with bear and troll souls, and i wonder is their more to the game i have missed or do i just level up and wait for dlc and patches?

so what havnt i done, whats left to do thats fun like the story i welcome comments and cristisism and hope i can get some feedback on something cool to do but i almost wish i had a pc so i can mod and stuff, perhaps this sounds like a moan but id be more happier if my misc quests where removed or set as complete, but they just stay their bugged, even new ones i get which puts me off, i guess is it possible that i have done everything of significance and worth doing?

also the idea of starting over again has crossed my mind.

If you feel like you still have things left to discover, then that means they aren't just "caves of little consequence". How would you know how important they are without checking them out?

Most of the truly cool locations in the game can only be found by exploring.

Not that starting over on a different character type isn't also a good idea.

You are mistaken that the misc quests are bugged... but go on thinking that if it makes you feel good. And they are not "all the same", but again, belief is more important in life and objective anolysis.

I've done a lot in this game, but I've yet to do all the "thane of X" quests... so that's the goal of my current character.

Create a new character. Play differentley than last time. For example if you played as warrior the first time create a mage. That way you have ''fresh'' combat style and abilities.

Or create a character where you go to every city and kill a guard or someone and choose to live exiled from the rest of the civilized world. Hunt to survive and seek shelter from the night and storm from caves...and if your in luck you might find a remote village which has an inn.
In short create and play completley differentley than you have.

As this is a role playing game (though some may disagree) I would recommend choosing a new role and starting over again. Replaying the game multiple ways with different styles and characters is my preferred way to play and in my opinion the only way to play.

I retired my first character at level 49 after finishing only the companions and the main quest. That was all that character was interested in doing. Now I have mulitple characters on the go all doing different factions, quests, etc. and I switch between them whenever I feel the urge to use magic/stealth/whatever. Some of them have self-imposed rules such as no stealing, no murder unless attacked and I find I'm getting much more out of the game by playing this way. Other people here like to take it even further and I'm sure they'll have a [censored]-load of advice for you.

I'm approaching the same scenario. I've done almost everything the game has to offer, but in this character I have specifically avoided the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild quest lines - I'll probably do those in two other separate playthroughs.

There are a bunch of Dungeon quests. These are quests that don't start until you enter the cave. There is usually someone to talk to that starts it. Not everyone in a dungeon is an enemy so be careful you don't kill anyone who isn't listed as a bandit or dragr etc.

have you found all the Dragon Priest masks? There are 10 total.

How about all 24 Stones of Barenziah and the crown they go on?

Deadric quests? there are 15 I believe

Temple quetsts?

Have you gotten all the trophies displayed in the Thieves Guild Cistern area? Or the safe you get after doing 125 jobs for Vex and Delvin?

I appreciate your remarks but am at a loss how can i be mistaken when they are clearly in my misc quests list unable to complete them cos the game wont allow it, new and old alike.

i have a kill bandit leader at 2 locations that i have done and i return all the time to try again and visit the ppl but nothing lets me get a completed quest, i also have find pantea's flute and i have got it, but nothing can be done via dialog or droping picking up etc, if u have any advice on how to get these off my misc quests list without starting over the game id praise u, and i dearly hope u have a solution

I don't mean the stuff you turn into Delvin (like the ship model, the bee statue, the cube, etc.)
I'm talking about the Gold jeweled items. Like the Golden Jeweled candlestick, Urn, Pitcher, Flagon etc.

You only get then depending on how many jobs you've done for Delvin and Vex. You get one at 10 jobs, another at 25 jobs, another at 50 jobs, etc, etc.
All the way up until you've done 125 total jobs. The last item you get is the safe. It appears on the side of the display shelves.
Look in your journal and count how many jobs you've done (failed ones don't count) for Vex and Delvin. If you haven't done 125 jobs then you've still got more you can get.
