Unplayable frame rate - ati RadeonHD 5870

about 10-20 fps on 2nd mission as the resistance. First level ranged between 10 - 80 fps. The lowest fps comes when there are a lot of blues around. My own team doesn't seem to affect the frame rate as much.

Game is unplayable. Spent 100$ on brink, because I bought 2 copies. 1 for myself and 1 for my girlfriend so we can play coop. She has an nvidea card and her game works wonderfully. between 50-60fps steady with vsync on. She doesn't care about multiplayer, or single player campaign. Only reason she wanted the game was to play coop together. Only reason I wanted to buy the game (besides the fact that it looked awesome) was to play with her. I don't care about multiplayer either.

So 100$ spent, so far for nothing. I prepurchased both copies on steam, so have not been able to play since release, which is 17 days ago now.

I'm disappointed. There are countless games developed through countless studios on countless engines. None have I encountered with such glaringly poor performance issues that should have been bugged long before release date.

I will not rant. I do not know if the failure lies in the hands of SplashDamage, Bethesda, Steam, or the slew of subcontracters hired throughout the development process. I did my research and made sure the product I was being sold ran well below my system's specifications. I did not received the product I was told I would.



I will wait a little while longer for patience's sake before asking a refund. I will be extremely leery of the SplashDamage logo in the future, however.

I don't have an ati card but someone said they disabled Catalyst A.I. then everything is ok. ;)
