investigation and Sybille Stentor

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 3:43 pm

A lot of sources says that http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Sybille_Stentor classifies as a vampire, but how can anyone not notice it? One NPC mention that nobody has ever seen her eat while the solitudes executioner Athar says "Ain't many visitors come to the dungeon. Every now and then Sybille Stentor will come by looking for... volunteers."

What does he mean by that? I assume that these volunteers goes right back to prison? If not wouldn't they be suspicious on where they have gone? Isn't anyone a big suspicious on this womans activity? I notice that this woman sleeps during the day times.

Verrry interesting...! Hm, why then does she send us to clear out that lair of vampires? To feed her friends, or reduce competition? Also, I've seen her sleeping at night in her room at the palace.

She's a vampire. She feeds on prisoners in the dungeons. It's a well kept secret.

If you were a Vampire you would no feeding doesn't kill. It doesn't even infect.

Boxcab, It's probably a mixture of both, but I think she primary did it because she has her own set of standards. Shes most likley on the good side, and not bad. She feeds on people who are bad and are criminals while the vampires in the lair that she wanted us to clear out feeds on innocent people.

She's following in Count Janus Hasildor's footsteps I guess. Except, unlike Hasildor, she never let's you in on her secret.

I'm trying to recall her comments on dealing with annoying people. She was quite cool on first acquaintance, but warmed considerably afterwards. I think she's coming on to me. Even Falk looks like he wants to be elsewhere!

Women vampires are very seductive towards their men victims. I don't know if it's my better looks mod but IMO shes an attractive woman, especially from a breton. In my world I am having a relationship with her, as a werewolf, so I've got a bizarre twilight thing going.

Oh and I remember her calling vampires disgusting and filthy creatures (After you complete her quest) Such irony since shes one herself :D

I think it's kind of a trope in vampire literature that the "noble undead" look down on the baser kind. Didn't Hassildor have you going after bad vampires, too? My memory of Oblivion is fuzzy.

Celan, Unfortunately I don't know much that happen in the Oblivion series since I first discovered the elders scrolls series through Skyrim. It's safe to say that I'm a novice when it comes to the knowledge of the series.

I can see why people around her fear Sybille. Shes terribly good at what she does. Shes almost a master of disguise.
you gotta wonder if http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Melaranknows about her dirty little secret.

Yes, that's right. He had the CoC in the Mages Guild quest handle some vampires in a cave just outside Skingrad. He said that he didn't make them, but that they gravitate toward him as though they were aware of his undead status on some level. He said they'd given into their urges and are little more than animals, monsters to be destroyed. He also had you handle some vampire hunters that had been chasing rumors of "vampires in Skingrad", you could've either killed them or brought back vampire dust as proof you killed the vampires in Bloodcrust cave.
