Can anyone suggest what I should do ?

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 9:08 pm

I have a khajiit archer and I'm pretty bored right now for some reason. I don't know what to do.

A little backstory

Parents killed by bandits
went and joined the DB to get a taste of killing in honor of his parents
Enjoys alchemy

I really am stumped on what I should do now.

Any ideas?

Kill bandits?
Pickpocket random NPCs.
Kill random guards.

That's the stuff I do when I get bored.

Have you done any main quests or other factions?
You could start another character.

Well I have done all the factions on different characters but I'll probably end up doing the Thieves Guild again. But I'm only level 11 and I'm already bored of an archer....maybe it is time to start a new character

Sorry to say but if you're that bored then close the game and play another game, or better go outside and take a walk? Sorry but thats what I do when I get bored with skyrim.

If you finished all of the quests then start a new character, but play as a different role.

I don't think people are understanding. I'm asking for Ideas on what I should I do as my character. Like maybe which quests to go for, or maybe what hold or town has good shops are something..I'm not asking what to do when I get bored of a video game.

You could always focus in on quests that center on common folk terrorized by bandits. Go to markarth and clean up the forsworn. Decide to further your studies of alchemy and start a pilgrimage to every alchemist shop in skyrim, picking up whatever reagent you find along the way.

Taking on the forsworn in markarth could lead your character to desire eradicating the abominable dark arts, maybe even joining the ranks of the vigilants of stendarr. Or learn a newfound passion for dwarven sites and begin delving into the murky ghost towns the Dwemer left in their eerie wake.

You could decide to practice archery with Agni (south of falkreath).

Try giving yourself a challence like looting an entire ruin without killing anyone or being caught.
After that see if you can sneek kill every guard in a town with out getting a bounty

challenges like this can make the game a bit harder and less boring

OOOooo...sounds like fun! I was wondering what to do with my shadow mage since I am capped out and kind of bored, but I really don't want to start a new character yet!

I don't get bored. But when I've got a bunch of quests and I figure I might be a bit low level for them, I do bandit extermination runs to get a couple of levels. Sometimes I can get actual quests for that in one town or another, but sometimes I just wander the map - you can ALWAYS find bandits.... and vampires....

So do bandits and vampires re-spawn? How long does it take?

Well, on one toon I JUST wandered the map on, places I cleared at level 5 or so were fully respawned when I got back there a couple of in-game months later. I wasn't in any hurry.... I *think* most hostile areas probably respawn in 30 game days if you don't enter the cell during that time.

I still load that toon when I just want to explore. She hasn't uncovered the entire map yet.... I think she's probably about level 30 by now....

Thank you, Serethil! I really enjoy just roaming the map and exploring, collecting ingredients for my Alchemy hobby, hunting animals, and discovering new places. Skyrim is so much fun and I haven't even done the main quest line past Delphine's revelation of her true purpose to the Dragonborn. I understand that you don't do the main quest anymore with your current toon.

Right. I won't do it again (unless somehow Beth decides in this one instance to make it a necessary component of xpacs, or something like that). I have a LOT more fun just doing my own thing on toons now.... just as I've always done in TES.....
