Theives guild has become the bane of my existence

Im looking for some tips here.
Ive completed the main part of the TG questline and now im woring on returning them to their former glory.
Its take FOREVER and my main problem is doing jobs in hold which Ive completed.
Anyone know a way that allows you to do jobs in dfferent holds?
Can you get another extra job when you have one so you can do something in another city, or do I just have t keep doing each one evenif Ive already finished that city?

Yep just them, if you can't get the right job and have to quit it and ask them again you will be sick of their voices something quick lol My last two holds were a pain, I kept getting useless riften jobs

Save before talking to Vex or Delvin and keep reloading until you get the job location that you want.

one playthrough i refused so many jobs my quests completed for the TG was -18 lol. this is the worst part of the thieve's guild, and would have made much more sense to have these side jobs as a quest on their own. it would have made perfect sense to move up the ranks in this manner. after finishing these jobs then you do the main TG questline, then you get the special jobs. just makes the questline more coherent. my other criticism is they don't really tell you these side jobs help restore the TG. or maybe i wasn't paying attention.

it's also highly annoying they throw in riften jobs and don't coordinate jobs in the same city. a simple fix for all of this would be to tell you the location of the job before giving you the option to accept or decline. instead it's accept, decline, accept, decline, accept...all the while listen to vex whine and delvin's horribly annoying nasal voice. i really hate listening to delvin. worst voice in the game.

It's things like this that make me very glad I'm not a strict "no fast travel" player.

If I couldn't zip between Markarth and Winterhold as needed, I'd sooner kill myself than complete the game. No doubt, after the kit comes out in January and the game is basically remade from the ground up, I'd love to do some kind of "full immersion" playthrough, with adjusted expectations of course.

But yea, having to go through a dozen loading screens to complete a single TG mission is the worst.

What moron made the design decision that it should take a FOUR load screen roundtrip to get to Vex/Delvin and then leave again? If the fast travel took you INSIDE the tavern instead of dumping you off in front of the tomb, then alright, it would be fine - make the Cistern a fast travelable location.

But as it is right now, dealing with the TG is a pain in the ass.

Yeah, just accept and quit until you get two in the same hold, a hold that you need. It can sometimes take a while, especially when you get down to just one hold to go. It also goes a bit more quickly if you combine Delvin's bedlam jobs with Vex's heist jobs. The value of the heist items also counts towards the bedlam job.

For some reason I almost never get any Markarth jobs, which is annoying since I have to quit the quests and get new ones every time. Sometimes I'm almost tempted to use the console to finish the quests but that's just too immersion killing for me.
