Question, how safe is it to continue carrying large sums of gold on the person in this game? I have collected a good deal of coin and while no one has pick pocketed me or tried to steal my gold I am now getting nervous.

I tried to put a bunch of gold in the chest at Breeze home but it took forever just to adjust 100 coins and I am dealing with tens of thousands. Is there and easier/quicker way to adjust how much gold you can stash in a chest?

Or am I just paranoid and carrying any sum of gold is not going to cause me a problem?

I never heard about that people could pickpocket you.

I've not read any threads where people have lost money what they are carrying personally on them. But I think keeping it in your own pocket rather than storing it in a chest would be the safety thing to do just in case something does glitch in the game. But if you save the game often then if you were to lose it by a glitch then reloading should bring it all back again.

R2 and L2 (PS3) allow you to skip forward and back when placing or taking large amounts. I get pretty nervous too because not even banks would have so much cash in Tamriel. And wouldn't that much gold be too heavy. Well, I carry mine but it does feel strange. But, I guess if someone can kill me to get my gold, it won't really matter if I lose it.

As an FYI, in the event some one cares. The RB and LB buttons on the Xbox allow you to make much lager jumps when transferring large quantities of items in and out of inventory. Now all I have to do is decide how in game paranoid I should be. Doesn't sound like I have anything to worry about, just rack up the gold and pretend I can carry Ft. Knox with me for a zero weight penalty!
