Frost the Horse

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 1:59 pm

If I tell Maven about the plot to steal Frost will I still be able to keep him at the end of the quest?
Also, will he behave like other owned horses?

A quick response would be much appreciated as yet again I'm in the middle of the game! :P
Thank you.

Yes and yes.

And then Letrush will probably appear next to him in Whiterun, acting like he's not planning your death...

Does the quest play out any different if I tell her? I saw someone say elsewhere that it doesn't.
Thanks for the answer :D

Not really. There might be a glitch where it says you already have the lineage papers, and you'll still need to pick those up in the manor. You do get a little more insight to why Letrush is doing this, but the quest itself is the same overall. Just changes the random encounter you'll get afterwards (that happened 6 months later in game for one of my characters).

So if Maven is aware of it all she'll probably send thugs but if she isn't then Letrush will probably turn up and decide to try take Frost or whatever. Okay, I think I might tell Maven what is going on for giggles. My character doesn't like her but she doesn't like the feel of Letrush either.

I'm actually playing a 'good buy' in my current play through.

I got this quest from a guy in the jail, but honestly I don't see even starting it as something a good person would do, so it's stuck in my quests log.

So is there a 'right thing' to do in this quests? I really don't care about the horse as they all jump off rocks and die on me anyway.

If you tell Maven, she has Letrush "taken care of" later on. But nothing really changes as far as your character.

The next random DB assassin in the wild will have a document on him pointing Maven as the perpetrator of the murder instead of 'someone'

Eh, I never told Maven (gave Frost to Letrush), but Letrush still got a thug sent after him. Three times by now. And he died every time. And he had about five twin brothers waiting for him at the Whiterun stables, with one of 'em taking a bath in the ground.

Yea after I get a few I hide on the roof above him/them and arrow them all without being seen. It takes a few weeks for him to start spawning again. His respawn must be tagged to his getting bumbed off. I always notice another clone after the Thug gets him.

I keep meeting Letrush all over Skyrim though, running away from towns.

In my game, Letrush is outside of the stables in Whiterun. There are now 5 copies of him...4 standing in a semi-circle and 1 halfway into the ground. So funny........It seems as if every time I come back through there, another copy of him is there!
