ClothingArmor Normally Unobtainable But Still Can Be Obtaine

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 2:41 pm

Well guys we all know that some clothing can be *glitched* to get, or some other ways to get them. I wanted to make a list of those clothing/armor that usually can't be obtained but can be glitched. If you can contribute please do so by commenting what the clothing/armor it is and how to get it.

P.S If you can add a picture.

The first thing you need to do is get a list of the clothing that is sold by the Radiant Remnant as they have every article of clothing in the game. Well, maybe not the enchanted ones, but the regular clothes.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Radiant_Raiment ~! Only noticeable thing missing is the Tavern Clothes, which is worn by lllladies like Alva in Morthal and Hroki in Morthal. Aside from murdering them/stealing it off them with high enough Pickpocket, it turns up in random wardrobes/dressers and on the occasional enemy or in a chest or something like that.

But yeah, there's also some special clothes that are either unique or extremely hard to come by. There's a set of Noble's Cloths (similar to what Jarls where) and some Fur-Lined boots in the East Empire Company Warehouse. Two unique clothing sets are obtained via the Dark Brotherhood questline.

Spoiler
During "Bound Until Death," if you can escape without being noticed or want to run in without about two dozen guests and guards on your back, you can take the wedding gown and acessories off of Vittoria Vici.
In the last quest of the main line, "Hail SIthis!," you can take the Emperor's Robes off his body.

Honestly though I'm unsure if those can be enchanted since I've never tried to enchant them. Worth a shot though.

Addendum: You can sneak into the Company Warehouse, don't need to be in the thief questline to get those clothes.

Spoiler

You don't have to defile the Emperor. There's another set in his bedroom, or somewhere close iirc.

lolbbcodefail on my part. And I didn't notice that. I was more concerned with getting the hell out of Dodge. Good to know though.

Ha! It's the spoiler forum. I liked the Focusing Gloves from the recurring College quests, but couldn't find a way to properly keep them, and you cannot enchant them if you console a duplicate pair. I ended up having to mod myself some, (and they are tricky with not wanting to be retextured - very weird gloves all up). Anyone know a legitimate way to keep them?

I've never been on a forum with the spoiler tags and stuff before so I'm like OH GOD JUST GO WITH IT OH DEAR GOD NO THIS GAME IS NOW RUINED FOR SOMEONE.

And I've tried to keep them by not just giving them back but then I feel bad because that Illusion guy is alright. So I also had to console them in. ._.;

I was hoping someone would say if you did the repeat quest 20 times or something he just says you might as well keep them. :P

Would one want to keep the mystic tuning gloves for any reason? Do they do anything other than what they are designated to do?

No, they are just a unique model. If you look at them very close they have the texture of velvet. Other than that they are unenchantable and have no AR, so useless. :P

There is a set of Tavern Clothes on a shelf in Liar's Retreat.

You can also retrieve Vicci's wedding garb from the Hall of the Dead afterward.

Yes, they are all enchantable/renamable (Tavern, Wedding, Noble, and Emperor).

I never think to check the Hall of the Dead when someone turns up dead for.....some reason. I think I'll do that this time around since it's about 100% less suicidal.

I got the wedding set for my chick several game weeks (maybe even months) after the 'incident' - I guess the body never despawns. It never occurred to me to take her clothes right after the assassination...probably wouldn't have anyway - that would've been a little too disrespectful.

You can replicate them via mannequin too, BTW.

I'unno, I usually go more for whatever's challenging but trying to get her gown off her amidst all that chaos was crazy. Still, using Unrelenting Force to send like eight people flying back is way more hilariously than I expected it to be.

And I just got done fiddling with my mannequins' gender, so I'm happy to leave it at that. <:

My future Empress, Athena looted them after crashing the wedding, and danced around the Sanctuary in her new, pretty dress. She also stole the wedding ring off the groom. Figured he wouldn't want the painful reminder. After all, he did suddenly lose himself and stab his fiance/newly-wed wife up on that balcony in front of everyone in Solitude. The things some people do after a little Frenzy poison gets in their system...

They don't sell Tavern Clothes there.

Edit: Woops, someone already said this. Sorry.
