Stat Help Please

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 2:50 am

Hey, I'm looking for some thoughts on what I should allocate my stats too (Health/Magika/Stamina) for my 2-handed warrior/conjurer.

I play on master difficulty and I chose a high elf so I get the 50 Magika bonus right off the bat. I plan on putting all my perk selections into the following.

2-Handed
Heavy Armor
Conjuration
Smithing
Enchanting
and a couple in Restoration

I'm level 13 right now and I've taken mostly health with a couple stamina. I'm just looking for people's opinions that have more experience with the game than I do. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks guys!

I don't find stamina a worthy stat to invest in; If stamina runs out during fights, foods like vegetable soup that can restore 1 stamina per second allows you to power attack all the time.

Posted this before but this place has a high turnover so hopefully people aren't sick of it. I play an Orc with this exact build, and split everything three ways until I had 200 in each. Then I found I had enough Magicka and started raising health exclusively. Last time I played I ground Conjuration up to Expert just to get a Dremora for the lulz, still no problems with Magicka I think.

My advice is to stick with Healing (novice spell) in Restoration and take Respite, Regeneration, Dual Casting and Recovery. I just ground Restoration up to 40 to get these perks at the start of the game, but as a High Elf you might not need to. Then, you put your weapon on one hotkey and Healing on the other. Press the Healing hotkey twice and dual cast to quickly restore all health and stamina.

This character type is pretty overpowered but still fun. Mine is getting on for level 40.

my main concern is taking too much magika I know I don't really need much at all to cast healing, I'm just wondering how much I'll need for the top Conjuration spells. Stamina I find useful for sprinting and carrying extra weight so I don't mind putting a few extra points into that.

Mage really shouldn't need stamina. Not saying your a Mage, but magika and health are huge, health especially when you get to a higher level.

I loaded up my char, he is at level 38, with 200 magicka plus 62 from whatever gear he is wearing. Conjuration is at 73. Conjuring a Dremora Lord takes just over 2/3 of his Magicka, which is no problem since he doesn't need much for Healing.

Other fun stats:
Legendary Ebony Warhammer, damage 389, not enchanted
Ebony Armor, rating 614, above the armor cap
Conjuration cost reduced 50%, should have mentioned that
Restoration cost reduced 75% because I couldn't think of any other useful enchants
Magicka regen +75%
Resist Frost 37%
Stone is The Ritual, always fun raising Mammoths to help you out.

Like I said, this type of character is kind of overpowered.

Yes it is possible to summon 2 Dremora Lords, and when you can... oh my, you're in for some good times. They stomp on just about anything in my experience. For giggles on my last character when I was getting ready to retire him (about level 57 I think), I waltzed into one of those fortified Forsworn redoubts with 2 of them following me. They fairly easily cleaned house on every last living thing in there, sending more than a few of them flying off mountains and bridges/overhangs. All the while taunting everything like mad. Hilarious fun.

I've played this exact type of character you're playing and let me say that stamina for that particular skillset is of limited usefulness to be honest. Stamina in general is pretty underwhelming, but you can take a few levels of it if you think you'll be power attacking a lot. I wouldn't bother with more than 5 levels but if you're more warrior than mage you may want more, up to you really.
