Illusion questions

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 3:07 am

Hey guys I have some questions in illusion and want some advice. I am thinking about rolling a stealth character and using some illusion. My questions are as follows

1. How good is illusion for the upper levels 50+? Since the enemies scale and the spells are level sensitive do they loose their edge?

2. Are there any enchantments that increase the level effectiveness of the spell?

3. How do you guys use illusion to your advantage it looks great over all.

Illusion is great.

You get perks that increase it's effectiveness as you level. Also you get upgraded versions of the spells later that effect higher levels and hit with an aoe instead of single target. The toughest high level mobs may require a dual casted spell tho and some will be immune (dragons).

Calming enemies so your can back stab them is effective. So is sneaking up on a group and hitting them with frenzy so they kill each other.

Edit: no enchantments that increase level effectiveness as far as I know.

And don't forget invisibility and muffle!

1 Not that high of level (low 40s), but havn't really had any problems once I got dual cast and perks.

2 Far as I know, only the perks work to increase the level the spells effect.

3 Make a room full of things fight to the death, than mop up the last remaining one ( which is usually a thread away from death themselves). Use Invisibility and Muffle to sneak around undetected. Use Calm to sneak past someone you don't want\need to kill.
