Daedric Prince Sanguine

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 5:46 pm

So after doing the "A night to remember" quest, I went back to Morvunskar to take on the Fire Wizard with my new staff (figured a Dremora would only increase my chances of success). I was surprised to find the Daedric Prince Sanguine lingering about. He aided me in taking care of the remaining mages there and now he just stands in the hall, where the Fire Wizard had his throne. Does Sanguine stay in Morvunskar for the rest of the game?

He was their for me to also the portal was open to that place, but if you enter you can't get out. Has to be a bug because it doesn't make sense that he would just be wandering around doing nothing.

Have you tried attacking him yet? I'm curious as to what he would do.

He's like the Headless Horseman. Impossible to land a hit on him and all spells wont do nothing to him. He is fun to mess around since he says stuff that Beggars will say.

I think one of the patches intentionally moved him there. Something about keeping the player from becoming stuck somewhere. That's all I remember.

I hadn't gotten any of the patches. V1.0 is the actually 11/11/11 CD. No Patches.

This is on the 360 and I am hoping to have V1.0 on the PC as well.

I heard V1.1+ requires that piece of **** stream >.>

I'm on the latest version (PC) and had a radiant kidnapping rescue quest from the Companions that sent me back to Morvuskr. When I entered the door, I heard a commotion. Down in the lower level was Sanguine fighting all those necromancers or mages, whatever. I was able to walk the guy out without doing anything, lol.

Well, during his quest in my game he was in his own world behind the portal, as was intended. After a while 'though, I went back to get that College guy's staff in that same fort and there he was, roaming about. If I go into his portal now, I'm stuck and can't get out. So Sanguine walking around in that fort isn't a fix, it's still a bug.

All pc versions of Skyrim require Steam.

If someone is managing to play any pc version of Skyrim without Steam, it is probably a good thing to not mention it here.

Won't work. You have to have Steam running to do the installation, and then you get auto-patched.

@Talaran- the release day retail disc version left off the Steam encryption wrapper. It got patched in that day.

Thanks, OP, that was fun! After reading this thread, I loaded up a save and fast-traveled to Morvunskar to see if my Uncle Sanguine was there in my game. He sure is and he was just finishing off a group of mages who had some pretty good loot on them. One had one of those rare small pearls, another had Jazbay Graqes, some soul gems, a staff, etc. I went to the back and got the mages back there to chase me to where he was and he finished them off too. So then I thought I'd see if I could pickpocket him to see what he carries. When I got into sneak mode behind him, he says, "Are you trying to hide because I can see you plain as day." I love this game. :tes:

That auto-patch is what I am worrying about. I wont have internet or at least it'll be Dial-Up... If I need Stream then I'll get it but I will turn off any auto-downloading relating crap that NO ONE needs. I swear... Auto-Updates is by far the worst idea on the Computer these days...

Don't believe everything that you hear. The game has improved dramatically in terms of stability and bug fixes since release. Not using the patches because someone said not to is just plain.. well.. ignorant

Also, you can turn auto updates off... jeez

He's my favorite. I was surprised when I went back, then watched as he cleaned house... It'd be nice to get him as a follower! The dialog would certainly be worth it.

I want the patches but I don't want Steam. That is what I was saying earlier.

I don't like being forced to use Steam but I don't mind Steam itself. Does that make sense? As DRM goes it's way better than Starforce or SecuROM.

I don't like any of them cause they are leechers. That is all I am going to say now.

I'm not thrilled with having to use Steam. I AM perfectly happy to keep a dvd in the drive as auth. Why we have to have an online something for everything now, I don't get.

Stupid.

Because one Company wants to leech the profits of another so it can survive. Simple as that.
