So I went to whiterun and Farkas started to chase me. He initiated dialogue with me automatically, so i backed out of the dialogue. Then he automatically started it again, and again, ect.
He chases me down and continues to do the same thing. I tried killing him, both from my axe and Unrelenting Force off of a deadly cliff. Still survived, being essential. I thought he wasn't essential anymore since I already BEAT the main companions questline. All i do is radiant quests for them. I already did Farkas' "personal" quest (i don't want to spoil anything). I did everyrhing reasonable: shouted him off a dangerous fall, tried killing him, ect. I even made him my follower and brought him to the Giant camp near whiterun. They both ganagbanged him, bringing him down. I went for the kill shot but HE DIDNT DIE!!!!!!!
I abandoned him and took a carriage to Riften. Even there, i couldn't wait or sleep b/c it says a guard is pursuing me (which is actually farkas, i have no boubty and it said that in whiterun when farkas was chasing me). This is very bad as i am RPing and can't wait or sleep. I can't fast travel either.
Suggestions?

So do I. But my saves are like an hour apart fr each.

A guy was having the same problem like you...I'm avoiding recruting Farkas again.
Edit:Try posting this on issue section,when they see that you are not the only one having this insane issue they might watch it.

Maybe provide with some helpful imput?

OP: Have never heard or experienced this. :/ If you are on PC you could kill via the console. other than that, I have no qlue

You know, my buddy had this same issue a few weeks ago. He had to reload to a previous save before he even started the Companions.

Get your illusion up and use 'calm'

Read about this a few days ago. What people claimed was that Farkas is classified as a "guard" so he had to go get a bounty (minor crime for like 40 gold) and pay it off, then everything went back to normal.

So....there are no orher solutions?

Op, you could try getting him to be your follower.

Uh, didn't you read? I made him a follower and the giants downed him so i went for the kill shot and he never died. He is even essential as a follower for me.

Lol this bug seems quite common, they havent fixed it yet eh? Are you on a pc? If you are then you can kill him by making him non essential since you've completed the questline
I had this bug as well, though luckily for me it fixed when i went into the next room.

nothing helps, you have to reload a save. i had vilkas his brother chasing me forever, and he would not die.
