I have been playing for several months now on and off, and I have run in to several quests that I just cannot finish...game will not allow me to do so...

1. Azura's quest...I finish it either dark or good way...and I am just stuck there in dream land...no one draws me back...?
2. several thief quests...I steal and item and they won't take it or recognize that I have it...but I can get new quests...?
3. The Halted Stream Camp quest...I killed everybody, but the quest still points me to the dead leader on the ground in the cave...so I'm unable to complete it...is this the main companion's quest line too?
4. Magical energies quest in the mage guild...it will not let me do anything at the sites with the special gloves on...?
5. Some miscellaneous quests...in Markarth...the hall of dead i did but it is still in my quest log as available and the Degain? quest to steal the statue-I did it but it's still there to see him...?

I appreciate any help on any of these; thanks for all the help so far-those who have taken the time for me.

On the Azura one, you need to survive for a few more seconds before Azura brings you back.

2) Haven't had any problem with the random thieves quests, but you should just be able to tell Vex or Delvin that you don't want to do the job and get a new one
3) This is a known bug. Some bandit leaders don't respawn but you can still get a quest to kill them again. I'm stuck with a similar quest
5) The statue stealing quest is also a known bug, if you finish the quest first and then talk to the local innkeeper and ask him about rumors you will forever be stuck with a quest to talk to the beggar

I get these all the time. Royal pain in the rear.

I'm stuck two-thirds down the Fetch that Book quest for the librarian in the College. Finally came across a book which I already had in my inventory and that's it, broken. Such a shame as it was one of my favorite quests; an excuse to wander Skyrim with somewhat of a goal to walk towards.
To be honest, given the amount of books you have to find, the chances of picking up one of them before you're asked to do so are pretty high, so this is a real oversight from Bethesda. I really hope they fix this! Will any more patches be released?

It's indeed somewhat annoying when an item remains in your inventory after you've handed it over (Panthea's Flute anyone?), or a quest stays mentioned after completion, but at least you had the satisfaction of finishing it. I guess it just takes away from the immersion.

More patches are definately needed. I've got a list of 10-15 bug and I've only been playing for a short while. Is there somewhere you can mail bugs (i.e. a gamesas-address)?

I've just sauntered over to the software- and hardware forum and that's where this sort of thing is talked about, apparently. Whoops. So 1.5 is on the way but my little book problem is not being addressed yet. Snif! Ah well... maybe later.

I just found out I can't complete the White Phial quest unless I start the MQ. Not gonna happen.

That's to complete the whole quest line. You can still find the Phial and turn it in to Nurelion, but it's broken. Either way bother his assistant to get the reward. Then to start the second half of the quest, you have to have access to the Throat of the World, which as you said is only after a certain point in the Main Quest.

2 out of the 14 dragons i've killed didn't have souls. dirtybashturds.

Pffft, if only it were that easy. We'd be bug-free by now.
