I created a Bosmer archer to try the ranged play-style today and I'm having difficulties deciding my alliances. Neither side seems to make much sense and it almost seems that I should avoid an alliance altogether.

According to TES lore, would it be appropriate for a Bosmer to join either of the two factions: Stormcloaks or Imperial?

To be honest though, if you would join the best would be the Empire. Stormcloaks don't like elves and the Empire is still multiculure and they are more accepting.

I would think imperial, unless you are a Thalmor agent. Then you could be planted by the Thalmor to help the Stormcloaks further weaken the Empire.
