Dragon Claws

Just wondered if there is any significance in theat there are quite a few of them. So far I have 3 (the first one being associated with Riverwood and Bleak Falls Barrow). Or are they just insignificant quest items?

Each claw is attuned to a puzzle door (and sometimes other devices) in one particular dungeon. Some claws are bigger than others, whereas some are smaller. You can drop them if you like. If you can't, then there may be more to do with them later. I think on this guy I was able to drop them all.

With the exception of the Ivory Claw, all of them are only useful for just one dungeon.

They are all exactly the same size. And they all can be found in the dungeons they are needed for except for the coral claw. They can all be dropped or stored. There are quite a few of them.

Dragon Claws are significant, in the place that you need them. Other than that, they are loot to store or sell or drop or display, after are done with them.

The Sapphire claw is also not found in its dungeon (though it is nearby).

Actually I've not found that to be so. I once tried arranging them on shelves in the bedroom of Hjerim on my first character. As i recall the ebony claw was much smaller than some of the others. I'd load an old save to look but I have an elephant like a memory and I'll forget this the moment I click -

All the dragon claws are useful in some way, although not all are just next to the door they open to put it simply. Also there are 8 dragon claws overall I think

See, here I am at home, and I still can't remember to load that save file, if it exists. I'm busy.

I found it... I think you're right. They are all the same size, as near as my perspective can tell. They are obtuse devices withal.

They're cool to collect. I even stole the golden one back so I could add it to my own collection. I mean.. he just leaves it there on the table almost like he's asking me to take it from him..

They make great mementos. The shelf across from the Alchemy lab in my Honeyside has them all proudly on display!

That reminds me, I have to go and steal back the gold one to finish my collection.

Get Claw, Unlock Door, and Make Money or have a nice little trophy. That is about it.

Also, why did you name the thread "Dragon Claws" and not "Dragon Claw Keys"?

Whenever I see "Dragon Claws", it makes me want to do the Dragon Claws Spec from RS, which I can't play anymore which makes me sad >.<
