HELP My Stats got SCREWED :(

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 4:51 pm

So i stuffed my lvl 30 character stats...
I went to use consol command "showracemenu" thought i would tinker with his face abit.
When i was pleased i went back to the game as usual.
So im smithing away then my smithing level incresses... heh cool... smith, smith smith, level increased again... wow jewelry smithing gives me alot of experience... smith smith smitharoo... lvl increase again... wait.. what!?

NOOOOOOOOOO
I finally figured out that all my stats have changed and i have no save from before i used "showracemenu". Things like 71 for Destruction and 71 Archery when i never used either of them, 20 for smithing when i should be beyond 50...

:( I do not want to lose this character and start over,

Is there any way i can change stats using consol command?

But if you didnt change your race in showracemenu, your stats wouldnt have changed o.o
Anyway easiest would be to reload a save. Or else you'd have to setav or something.

It's Marksman.

Also, this is from the UESP: "SetAV sets the level value of the attribute to the stated value. Example: You can player.setav block 100 to set your Block to 100 and take advantage of having a high level Block without receiving any levels (and therefore any perks)."

You might want to use incPCs or AdvSkill.

This is why everyone should take backups of saves.

When changing your appearance remember to check that you still have your racial abilities (in active effects). If you just change your appearance you lose them. You've to switch between the genders once, and then you can start tweaking your appearance. At least this is how I do it.

No, this is why bethesda should have included someone in the college of winterhold who specializes on alteration who can change the way you look.
It worked in fallout 3, why wouldn't they put it in skyrim?

You can do it manually, but just use this batch file:
http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=499

That'll reset you to level 1 and remove all your perks so you can use incPCS to restore your character. Doing it manually takes a good 10-20 minutes

When using showracemenu, saving a NEW save (thus keeping your backup) and restarting th game lets me retain my stats and racial powers/effects.

Doesn't your system make backup copies of saves? On the PC, if you enter a shop to sell things, the system makes an automatic save. These are listed as XXXXX.BAK, I think.

Have you checked your save folder to see if you have one of these automatic saves you can go back to?

Good luck.
