Are there any werewolves just running around in the wilderne

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 5:59 am

I'm thinking they are only in quest-specific dungeons, as that's the only time I'm ever seen one in game. If it's not tied to the Companions in some way, the werewolves just don't show. Or am I missing some runing around in the woods somewhere?

Nope. There are a few in cages in certain forts. That's it. Other than the quest-specific one for one of the daedra.

Depends. If you want some you will need to get a mod that adds them. I have met them in the wilds using Wars in Skyrim or Unleveled World.

Sadly no. It seemed to be something Bethesda overlooked, or maybe they didn't want you showing up to the companions and being like, "Err.... No, thats fine, I'm already a werewolf...".

There is one... but he's not really wild. Depending on how you complete "Ill Met by Moonlight" there can be a werewolf who pops up from time to time. Besides the ones in cages, he's the only one.

Sinding's a dike. I killed him and he resurrected himself.

Resurrected himself?

Founded him wandering the wilderness. 'Dude, I killed and skinned you, and a Daedric Lord turned you into one of his artifacts. 'Never thought I'd see you again.' Touché.

Well, i found some in the Rift, close to the east moutains that lead to Morrowind. Not sure if my game is special or they were just inside cages and somehow went out of them, them ran out of their cave and kept running until i killed them...

Resurrected himself?
Three times now, in my game. I keep reminding him he's supposed to be dead.

When a major plot point in a quest is someone's death, that someone should have the courtesy to stay that way.

Hmm, maybe you need to use a silver bullet on the inconsiderate s.o.b.

If two silver swords through the chest didn't give him a hint, I doubt a bullet would.

It was really satisfying punching him to death that last time, even though he doesn't fight back.

Hircine must of kicked his ass out of the Hunting Grounds. "No whiney werewolves in my realm!".

Maybe if Sinding didn't whine like a child because he killed a little girl..

Myself and Sinding beasted up and personally slaughtered the hunters. It was a huge middle finger to Hircine.

Nope. No werewolves at all other than Sinding and the ones met in The Companions questline.

It's quite a disappoint really. I'd like to have contracted lycanthropy sometimes without starting the Companions questline.

You're supposed to, according to UESP. Well, if you're NOT supposed to, I wonder why they would say otherwise.

I think they could have added wild werewolves after the companion quest where you become one. This solves the problem of being infected with their lycanthropy.
