i snuck onto the monorail and rode it into vegas. i went out the freeside door and i was able to go back in without a key.

I cant believe they released the game with a glitch this epically huge. There is no monorail in my game (it got blown up), there is no key, and bethesdas official solution? "reload a previously saved game", losing hours of quests etc in the process.
I paid for a game I'm able to play... I did not get what I paid for. Bethesda has 2 options at this point, release a patch, or release refunds
And no, I dont mean a patch in the next month, I mean get your butts into gear and get it out and available now.

Well, I reloaded, avoided the quest that would blow up the monorail, and used it to access the locked strip. I'm thinking, "hey, no problem, I'll just avoid that monorail quest and be able to proceed without this strip bug causing me any further problems." Well, I was wrong. Now I cannot get into the Lucky 38 casino, which means no possessions or companions or anything else inside.

So. Broken.

So. Angry.

I take no credit for this workaround, heck I've yet to even create my character. Found this solution on another site:

This first is using a Stealth Boy/Sneak attack to kill one of the robots outside the gate then search their "body" for the key. It can't be pickpocketed though, the game treats it just like you're trying to talk to them.

The second solution is to go to Camp McCarren and use the monorail to get to the city. This method is fine, but if the NCR is any less than in love with you you'll be shot at for approaching the door to the monorail station. You can just run past them if you're planning on using that playthrough to help them, once you go through the door they won't follow you and the NCR on the other end won't be hostile for you being in the station. If you're not worried about what they think of you you can just kill them.

As I said, I take no credit for this solution and I'm afraid I can't help any further as I've yet to boot the game up. I just hope this works as a temporary solution for people locked out of the Strip, until we hear about and receive the upcoming patch. Which I'm hoping we will hear something from tomorrow, as it is the start of the working week.
