Trophies.

My wife and I are fans of the Showtime series, Dexter. In this show, for those that don't know, Dexter Morgan is a serial killer that collects a drop of blood (on a glass slide) from each of his victims. This got me thinking about a fun way to role-play in Skyrim.

For any significant NPC that I decide to kill, whether its a Dark Brotherhood quest or just because I'm going to trap their soul in a black soul gem. I will collect these in a specific location (that I have not determined just yet) in one of my houses. I will display them somewhere as my trophies. My only complaint is that we cannot name soul gems. So I have a couple of options and want to see what you guys would think be the best thing to do.

1) I can create a ring and name it after my victim, placing the ring in front of the soul gem as to identify who's soul is in the gam.

2) I could use the soul gem to create an enchanted item, named of course after the victim. This would "permanently" trap their soul.

Option 2 sounds like the best option but I really like the idea of having a bunch of soul traps on a shelf that are filled with people that I have taken out. Let me know what you guys think and if you all do anything similar. Perhaps I'm just strange and deranged.

I miss how Morrowind told you what was trapped in the gems.

I collected their souls, but don't know who is who anymore.
