Same here. But doing VO will be a nightmare for Bethesda if they intend on not getting flamed for Americans doing foreign accents.

Black Marsh would be my favorite setting if they can pull off an amazing variation of water, argonians sub-species, underwater predators, swarming insects, thick forests, flooded dungeons and so on.... Black Marsh will be very atmospheric or won't be at all... the lore can be bypassed so all the races would explore the inner land.

I WOULD LOOOOOOOOVE THAT. Their lore is fantastic! Just imagine the landscape of Black Marsh. Something we've never seen before.

I think it'll be along the lines of Morrowind's intro. A sudden smack in the face mood twist. Many people may be put off at how weird it is or how it doesn't stand up to the awesomeness of pre-established backgrounds. Too visitor-friendly. Halfbaked reveal of the supermystical inner swamps.

Then there will be just as many fans saying how awesome it is, how it broke the boundaries of cliche castletown fantasy.

If they go ahead with it, I think it'll be fine. Worth another sixty-dollar pop, at least.

Black Marsh is winning the next game location polls around here, sure thing the fans want it, but it's Todd Howard's decision, really. If he wants the series to be more and more clichee generic fantasy, no way it's going to be Black Marsh or Elsweyr. These lands require risks and a lot of originality that you nowadays expect to find in smaller studios.

I hope so, but I doubt it.

I don't know how the Argonia game could be marketed well. Sadly the beast races are still considered kids' stuff and being in the game only for furries. I hate how every game must revolve around apes to be believable/more authentic and somehow hardcoe.

i think it would take some guts to have a game solely centered around a 'foriegn' race like the argonian or khajiit. i could see the lore being written to have some kind of invasion in black marsh, so the populace is more split between human/non-human. or as someone mentioned, parts of black marsh with parts of other provinces.

i'm trying to think of a commercial like skyrim's....what if the dragonborn was argonian in the tv ads? anyone think it would sell as well? never underestimate the power of the marketing department.
