I can get around ~15 from backstabbing Ralof in Alvid's House. Then, how many ever speechcraft leveling would get me. I can then go sell gold/ebony ore from their respective mines, fund the ability to powerlevel smithing.

Bam, ~25+ with minimal combat, including what it would take to get the Forgemaster's Fingers and the Forsworn that invaded the gold mind.

That tricks been around since launch. You should set the game difficulty to Master for it. Avoid perking Armsman/Barbarian/Augmented Flames/Augmented Frost/Augmented Shock/Backstab/Assassin's Blade when training on Ralof in the tutorial. If you're going for Dual Flurry in 1H for faster attacks/gains, then only perk Armsman once at that point. You want to do as little damage as possible per hit, so you can hit him as many times as possible before bringing him to his knees.

Put game on hardest Difficulty

Use game-breaking exploits to make it easy

???

Profit!

Surely I can't be the only one who thinks that doesn't make sense.

Well, it does depend on the person. I wouldn't ever bother with that sort of thing, but there are people who think that's the fun in a game. *shrug* Each to her own.
