I catch Faendal in my house whith my wife. And I decide to well..... do away with him because I know of his attractions to her. After I kill this guy Vignar Grey-Mane has an instant vendetta against me and is unkillable.... The guards keep putting him down but he's persistent. Is there a way I can get around this?

On Ps3 btw.

Had the same problem after he became Jarl. Everytime I kill someone from whiterun he became aggressive.

The guy is like a super hero. He will stop ALL evil!

Why don't you put an arrow to his knees? Maybe that will do the trick.

I suppose he took it very personally. He got into this fight with a little girl once in my game, it was pretty funny. Not sure you can get around this on console.

Buy a bunch of arrows.
Get a bow
Aim for Vignar knees
TADA!!
He will either die or become the next whiterun guard.

Or if you're on PC you can simply open the console and then click on his head (Be sure that you can see his Hex code) and finally type in Paycrimegold.

If that doesn't work then keep shooting in with arrows to the knees.

Thank you Skyrim community! There is actually a Dwemer arrow that can be found in the Markarth museum and can only be equipped to followers. When followers use this arrow it can go into the knees of NPC's; this will immobilize the NPC keeping them in a limping animation much like a Falmer.

What about a calm spell? Then yield afterwards
