Will it get better?

Hi all, im a new guy trying to get into Skyrim and all the greatness it is. But im just wondering if its even worth getting? because i play on a PS3 and i definetly would hit the point where it starts to lag, freeze and all that.
So im just wondering if its even worth dealing with it once i reach that point or just wait until its fixed (if that day ever comes)

I really can only say one thing:caveat emptor. You may be unlucky enough, or you may have the blessings of the Nine Divines. 50/50.

Well, you can slow down the memory leak by disabiling autosaving. But I don't think I can survive without it. I would abandon the character with the large save files when it starts crashing constantly. To many crashes tends to corrupt system data.

The lag is not nearly as bad as it used to be. At aroudn 10 MB of cache data the FPS drops after a long gaming session of 4-5 hours I'd say. Reloading a save is enough to get rid of the lag temporarily.

I however am upgrading to PC in the New Year
