Is there a better, more accurate list of SAFE containers and

So far, I have only found one wiki page which says that there are only 2 locations in the whole game (aside from owned houses) that are safe, and do not respawn.

I am aware of the free room in the mages college, and the riverside shack.

I just cannot believe that there are not more.

I do not want to drop my stuff on the ground, and I do not want to buy a house just yet.

I like the idea of living somewhere for free.

Aside from random barrels, does anyone know of any safe storage locations?

I ran across an alchemist shack, I hope you have found it. The end shelf next to the bed seems to be safe. I am an alchemist so kinda made the place mine. There's a little note stating that the alchemist who owns it went off, but I think he is dead. I store all my stuff in it and have had no problem.

South of the throat ot world, the barrels arnt safe neither is the satchel. its just the bedside table that can be used. nice shack tho. shame containers dont sort like your inventory. i couldnt stay long as tralling through 1000 items to find all your alchemy or a potion that your not sure of name of :P

We need a good list of containers. is there any promts that can be used on pc to fibd out safe containers or do we have to laborously test them all.
lol i tested lots in fo. then fallout nv almost all awhere safe!! hurray! shame skyrim isnt like nv in a few respects.

yawn anywhere less obvious and less routed to a certain rp roll and time frame of getting it i think is what the op wants, not a list of the player given or bought houses.

Correct.

I am role playing a scavenger/thief character, who lives completely off of the land, and scavenges/hunts/steals/loots everything. I do not even want to utilize any free containers from the thieves guild line.

I just purely want to use free containers. The gold is not the issue. I have plenty.

I do not want to lose all of my collectibles to a respawning container, however.

What about the ruins of Helgen after the dragon attack? Why would the destroyed Inn not work?

Also, Faendal's House in Riverwood (after he becomes your companion) all of the containers in his house "seem" as though I own them including the bed. However, I have never tested them.

I need some help, here.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Houses#Free_Shacks you go, folks.

It contains a list of all the purchasable houses, as well as the 'free shacks' throughout Skyrim, and even a list of spouses that own houses.

I cleared a dungeon early in the game and used a chest in the dungeon to store some things I wasn't bothered about to see how safe they would be. The items were still in the chest when I checked on them weeks later. But I use the secret room in the inn in riverwood to store all my things even though I now have a house in whiterun because I can't be bothered moving all my things there. It should be good if the game had an option to automatically transfer all your things to another destination a but like the fast travel system for speed.

How is it possible to get access to the secret room???

Also, THEBAER - can this list be trusted? How do I know this source is truly reliable?

Wait, never mind. I actually clicked the link and saw that it was the official wiki. Very good. Thank you.
