Why is one skill bolded in Green

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 6:55 am

I wanted to apply the Custom Fit perk to my light armor. It requires a level 30. When I open the skills menu, it says my level is 33. However, when I go to apply Custom Fit it says I need 30 but I'm only 26. I notice that from the main menu the Light Armor rating of 33 bold and in green. None of the other skills look like this. I'm guessing that some kind of temporary or pseudo bump has been applied to this skill. I'm hoping someone can explain how it works.
Thanks.

Yes, you are likely wearing something or drank something that has boosted your skill beyond its actual level. In order to get a perk, you must have the skill at that level without enhancements.

Go to your Magic menu (press "O" if you're on a PC) and go to Active Effects. Search for anything that will reduce your armor level, which will probably be highlighted in red. Some kind of poison or curse. If there's nothing, it's a glitch which goes away when you level up on that skill, so you'll be 26 all that time and then become 34.
