My first experience with vampires

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 7:17 pm

So today I did the quest in that one town with the scaredy cat villagers and that one quest involving the book immortal blood *cough* and had my first run in with a large number of vampires. I've never played a vampire and have heard alot about how bad they are, but I thought "hey, here is my chance to try it out"....i went through, killed them all with little trouble. Their special absorbtion destro spell was hardly noticable and did not save them. I contracted the disease but got rid of it, that single cave killed what little hope i had for an interesting vampire character. R.I.P blood svckers.

Ya, I was expecting them to be a little more feral with a undead look to them..... Not plump well-fed and clean clothed black mages that sound allot like belathor...

The illusion boost vampires get is the main reason to become one. When it comes down to fighting them, they're not all that different from fighting necromancers. Without armor, they drop like flies.

Meh. I've never been a big fan of illusion. The game can get really hard sometimes, and sometimes it's to easy. Illusion sounds like it would trivilize the hard parts.

At this point I can slow time and charge a room full of vamps/ afflicted/ necros and one-hit them all before slow time runs out. Meh.

I was rather disappointed to see they all look like regular people. I don't usually stop to examine thie eyeballs.

Larger "fangs" would help. Also special abilities such as walking through walls would be epic. Mind control spells...there are a lot of things that if you leave it exclusive to vampires, people may actually have true incentive to become one and deal with the "issues".

Ehhh not so sure. Both of my vampire characters have been Khajiit, and as opposed to non-beast races just getting gaunter faces and paler skin, my girls had both of those things and their teeth are giant like a sabre cat. It looks silly in most circumstances. @@

First time I ran into some Fangers I found them to be quite tough, but my excuses are it was fairly early on in the game and I'm a noob when it comes to games like Skyrim. The first couple of Novice Vampires weren't a problem, it was the Master Vampire who did me in several times before I got the better of him.

What I have realised about Skyrim Vampires is that they're a bit like the "Twighlight Saga" ones, in that they can walk around in sunlight without catching on fire!!
Spoiler
Well, assuming Alva in Morthal is actually a Vampire of course!

^Tis indeed a vamp - in both senses of the word.

I find them more of a problem when I come across some as a random encounter while traveling after dark. In a dungeon/cave I'm ready for them.

What has been read, cannot be unread. And it's because it's true.

Yeah they get really nasty from the nightstalker level and forth, especially when they use the ice storm spell. I get so owned... -.-
