Ok so I was up at halted steam camp getting my necromancing on (70 conjuration) when I noticed that one of the dead bodies which im sad to say was not my kill had an odd label "Infected Bandit". Being the power seeking Necromancer that I am, I raised the sickly abomination to find that he not only weilded a fine sword but spit acid on my foes inside the cave.

My question is, how many minions do this and is there any way to increase the duriation of your raise dead spell.

If you become a master at conjuration, see the guy in the College and you can get a Dead Thrall spell that last inifinate time and doesnt reduce minions ot ash.

else the only way is to get the perks in conjuration ot make them last longer.

oh man now im wishing i never raised the acid spitting minion cause now I wont have him and It was really cool.

No, the drain spell svcks :/ I'm a Breton necromancer who became vampire aswell, freaking awesome I used the dead thrall spell on 2 master necromancers who are blasting master level destruction spells. I do not have to do nothing, I can just stand there and watch them killing anyone.
As for raising conjuration skill I used the ''bound sword'' spell alot which raised my conjuration skill quite fast sinse I had to summon it each time as a fight started.
Also you might want to check the illusion spells, very useful for a vampire, not to mention as a vampire you have a nice boost on illusion spells !
