Simple question:

Does anyone have a fully functionning-bug free (including the stains) house in Windhelm? I will be starting a new game and was pondering which house to buy first and Hjerim looks pretty cool as I want to play a Nord who joins the Stormcloacks this time around.

However, the bugs listed on the wiki page are astounding and scary, not only the Blood on the Ice related ones but also other bugs once the house is purchased.

I just wanted to know if it was worth spending time trying to get it right (with reloading to previous saves if necessary) or if whatever I do there will always be a little something that's not working. So, anyone got a "perfect" Hjerim?

i have completed the blood on ice quest on the ps3 twice with no problems and the house has only the usual bugs found in houses e.g items you place will fly around whenever you walk in

Yes, I did Blood on the Ice and got the house, no problems. I'm on a PC. I headed off and joined the Stormcloaks right away - before heading to High Hrothgar.

Okay, thanks. I'll join the rebellion early then and try Blood on the Ice as soon as possible. At least if it doesn't work I'll be early in game and will be able to easily change plans...
