Companions.. Do they fit my roleplay?

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 7:47 pm

I just can't seem to make a decision, on which character should join the companions. I apologize, i just need more thoughts than the word of my roomates.

My Main is a Dunmer Loyalist level 39. He is an Ice Artificer and is crafty with the sword. He has a good side, but is quite rude to Nords (in paticular) who oppress other races, however he hates the empire more for what they have done with Morrowind, so joins the stormcloaks out of the respect that Ulfric let the Dunmer atleast stay in their village. Hes joined the Collage and is merely student so far, and hasnt dealt with the dragons much other than passing byers. Howevcer, for most, the Dunmer is his first concern, and hoping to find remnants of Telvanni.

The opther character im considering is my Female Nord Paladin with the Career of being an Imperial Soilder. She's only level 3, however, she is essentioally a Lawful Good Character.

The companions seem kinda barbaric, and im not sure if they fit either of these niches. any help? This question probably gets asked alot, however, has anyone been dissapointed with joining the companions based on how their character is?

The priestess of Azura (At the shrine of azura go figure ) would be a good choice of companion; as a dunmer paying your respects to Azura would not be out of place, and she is a very effective spell-caster and on the whole "nicer" character than many of the other companion choices... she's also a Dunmer

Edit: mis-understood the title... companionS not companion

Your Dunmer, being a historian, would note that the Companions maintain the legacy of Ysgramor, whose army of five hundred fought against the elves and drove them from Skyrim... which then conquered Morrowind for a time. It doesn't seem a good fit.

Your Nord Paladin may be attracted to the Companions, at least at first: she may have grown up with the more glorious, noble vision of the Companions, rather than the thuggish. Perhaps she may wish to reform them into a force of virtue, or find the truth behind the barbaric tendencies of some of them.
