so i was woundering how many of the thiefs guild jobs do i have to do before i can get the achievment for bring the thiefs guild back to its former glory. i've dun like 10 burglory jobs for vex so far is there a set number for each job. like say some thing like 20 burglery
20 histes and so on or do you only have to do a few from each job before you can do it ?

you have to do five for each city - Whiterun, Windhelm, Solitude, Markarth. Then you'll get a 'special job' for each city. Then youll get declared guildmaster.

Unless your game is bugging the same way mine did... Check your Quest Info to see how many "Thief Guild Side Quests" you've done. If your're experiencing the glitch, it will decrease by one when you accept a new quest and increase by one when you complete one. Effectively showing you the same number of quests completed. In which case? Just keep on questing. Eventually... after 40-50+ quests, it will give you the "special" quest. As previous posts mentioned, once you complete all "special" quests, you will be the guild master.

Another tip: If you haven't done The Forsworn Conspiracy/No One Escapes from Cidhna Mine yet in Markarth, complete the Thieves Guild special job there first. Waiting until afterward for some reason causes Markarth jobs to become REALLY sparse.
