Skyrim enchanthing help needed

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 1:19 pm

Hello
So I have little problem with my current character. So I recently leveled my smithing to +90 and enchanthing +80.
And made Daedric armor ready. Now I just need to enchant it, already put the perks on enchanthing.

My problem is... I have like 20-30 different enchants known, including two handed damage, bow damage etc.
But Im "paladin" block, resto, one-handed, heavy armor. So I need +one-handed damage enchant/s
The issue about this is... My character is 39lvl. Played like 200 hours with this chracter only. And still I havent found any item in game with +one-handed damage so I could disenchat it.
I tryed look in 8 different villages / citys. Every jewelery / general goods / blacksmith vendors and even they wont sell any item with +one-handed damage enchant.
And to compare my 200 hour playtime I never even seen the enchant in game (in my current character, my earlier had em)

How I could find item with that enchant??

Sorry if there is typos or something ts 6AM here and Im a bit drunk but... Thanks already for reply's

My advice to keep checking but make sure to visit dungeons and do more quests. It'll turn up eventually. Meanwhile, I am at work to find an item with the Waterbreathing enchantment which is, unfortunately, very elusive. :(

None of us can really help you here. Mostly gauntlets hold this enchantment as does jewelry I believe, but you have to find it by yourself really.

Yes I know theres not much to do helping me out. I just wondered if anyone know some specific place where drops the item with that enchant.
Im just thinking how its possible I've never encountered any item with that enchant in my 200 hours played.

But thank you for replys

Oh btw. If you are looking just item with the enchant you could check this out. http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Volsung_Mask
It cannot be disenchanted tho.
If you wanna learn the enchant go check the "Dragon Priest" places. One of them drops mask with waterbreathing and it can be disenchanted. Check it here: http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon_Priest

Try Bits & Pieces in Solitude every now and again; and like everyone else has said just keep looking. You'd be surprised the places you find stuff. For example I've found a pair of Dragon plate gauntlets with two-handed enchantment in a treasure box where some giants resided out in the middle of nowhere.

Keep looking.

I've had the most luck finding fortify enchants, especially the one-handed one at Radiant Rainments in Solitude. You would think a blacksmith would be a better option, but for some reason, they stock a lot of jewelry with various augmentation enchants.

Good luck finding it.

Spoiler
I found a Dwarven helmet of waterbreathing down Falkreath way. Yes! Straight away, a courier turns up. Turns out someone else wants it too. Must be rare.

Pickpocketing named NPCs is a good way of getting rings with various enchants on them. Usually need pretty high pickpocketing skill to be succesful though.

If your desperate ...

Fast travel to Whiterun after being absent a while and save outside the general store. Go in, and see if Belethor has what you want. If not, exit the game completely and restart, reload. Reloading without restarting will not get what you want. Do it as many times as is required to find a suitable item.

It can be hard to find all the different enchants, best idea is to check all shops you are close, should not be to much work then leveling enchanting as you want to sell your enchanted weapons anyway, only miss fortify speechcraft on my city clothes now.

Considering all of the enchantments an item can have I can believe that after 200hrs you haven't found what you are looking for.

Keep looking. I'm not sure how long you need to stay out of an area for merchant items to reset, but you could try leaving an area for a few days and come back to merchants in that area to see if their stock has changed. You know, like hang out in Solitude for a few days and then see what is in Whiterun, Riften, Windhelm, etc...

Good luck!

I've got a set of +20% single handed damage gauntlets, I'll leave them in Breezehome later tonight. Have a look there, if you can't find them ask Lydia - she'll know where they are....... ;)
