A reference to Fallout 3?

I just cleared a dungeon called Harmugstahl or something like that, and there was an adventurer who was fighting elemental frostbite spiders. then at the end of the dungeon you fought a crazy dude who made them that way and two giant frostbite spiders like the one in Bleak Falls Barrow.

Is this a reference to Gray Ditch in Fallout 3 with the giant fire ants?

Very doubtful, the Fallout 3 quest was a movie reference.

It'd be fun to have some of that for fans of both games.

I think I saw a reference to fallout somewhere. Not sure where. Might have just been someone with the same name as someone in fallout.

I still think they should have put in a random encounter with a dude named Grognak (Sp?) the Barbarian.

Fallout Series Reference
  • http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Pumpkin, a fox found inside a cage in one of the dungeons, is a reference to the named creature, http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Pumpkin, found in a similar circumstance underground in http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_3.
  • In the Alftand Glacial Ruins if you follow the Khajiit (J'darr) you see when you first enter, he exclaims that one of the smoothskins stole his Skooma which may be reference to what Ghouls call humans in Fallout.
  • While wandering around Whiterun a guard might randomly say "Let me guess. Someone stole your sweetroll." This is an obvious reference to Fallout 3 during your 10th birthday party when Butch attempts to muscle you out of your sweetroll. (Incidentally, the sweetroll scene in Fallout 3 was itself a reference to a character creation question found in http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/The_Elder_Scrolls:_Arena.)

That would have been brilliant. I can't believe they didn't think of that, it would've been hilarious.

"Let me guess. Someone stole your sweetroll."

For some, this is a reference back to (Earth date) 1995.

The problem of Sweetroll theft has been a major character building problem for 325 or so Tamriel years.
