Remaining on Level 1?

15 to 25 or so was the sweet spot for me.
I have to agree at 15-25 the game is at pretty good difficulty and you get the perks you need badly

Doable if you stay off the MQ, but bear in mind a few other quests don't get handed to you until you reach a certain level. The other thing is perks. Developing your skills is part of progress.

Non-combat build will make you level much slower. Roleplay as a merchant that mostly stays in the cities to trade and stays on the roads for safety and relies on a hired gun to protect them.

OK, this discussion has inspired me to make a fixed level 4 mage; no MQ, no Dragons or shouts, etc. Just explore and try to visit every location.
I think I need three perks: novice destruction for basic flame and apprentice conjuration for a flame atronach.

I think the potential to be one shot by certain mobs would be very high. It could be interesting I think I will try as well but doubt that I will do the main quest probably just wander around.

My 'RULES' to self will be:

* Fix to Level 1
* Never go into the Skills/Star Constellation menu
* Can use Dragon Shouts (too difficult otherwise)
* Only use historical weapons & armour ie. iron, steel, silver... etc
* Master difficulty

its going to be tough but i'll enjoy it.

how about you Fragonard? whats your RULES to self?

Yeah i will do.

I tried this for Oblivion but there were a couple of occassions i was forced to level up (from memory). I hope Skyrim gives me the freedom to stay level 1.

Just to point out why I want to play as level 1, is because I find Skyrim THE most realistic and believable fantasy RPG out there at the moment, steeped in medieval history (i know many ppl will debate this), BUT i find the higher you level up, the armour and weapons become more out-of-this-(nirn)world and almost veering into J-RPG terriortory. I prefer the Iron and Steel industry look more than the glass & daedric affair. its just the way i roll.

That's why my girl rocks the leather regardless of level. :D

Can we report back (whenever) on our individual experiences please on how you find the game on a FIXED level.

It'll be intereting to find out your adventures and how you get on.

Anyone else interested please post your RULES to self here.

Good luck

Basically the same as yours but since I won't have shouts, I'll use adept, at least to start, maybe go to expert if it seems reasonable.
Oh, and no armor at all just robes and hood with clothing shoes.
